One would think Geale v Mundine II with the IBF belt on the line would be a huge domestic fight......sure you don't want to see it? For the record I would back Geale to win that fight....but i'm still going for choc :yep
Like I said, I did once, right after the BS decision that was the first fight. Since Wood KO'd Mandy, the sting has been taken away from any new Mandy loss. I just don't see much achievement in beating a guy who was KO'd by Wood. Geale needs to keep focused on real world champion stuff, not be ****ing around with Mandy and Green antics. Oh, and you'd have to be a bit daft to not back Geale if they met again. Geale would have Mandy out within 6 rounds today.
Like sox said, any mundine loss has lost it's sting now, jmo but I have no intrest in mundine geale rematch, I'd rather see geale stamp more of a legacy like tszyu and Vic.
I know what you guys are saying....however from a money point of view...can anybody name another $1,000,000 plus fight that Geale can win?
If Geale's successful against Sylvester, sadly money will likely dictate that Mundine II would follow. Not the direction most of us would want to see Daniel take, but from Grange's perspective it'll likely rate as a win/win match-up: 1/ A very winnable title defence. 2/ A big $$$ fight that they'd be in a very good bargaining position for a large cut of. 3/ A chance to avenge the only loss on Daniel's record.
No question, and I don't doubt that it will happen, I just don't care for it as I once did. I wish it wasn't so, but money makes all of us do things we shouldn't do at times.
Why are people so annoyed about Mundine v Geale 2?? I thought you lot wld be chanting at the bit to see Mundine KO'd again by an Aussie? I wld be interested to see what the Aussie bookies put up on this, if Geale is not favourite i'd be very surprised....... I'd be having a **** load on him knowing that Mundine always starts at shorter odds then he shld expecially given the demand.
I doubt Mundine would fight for IBF title. He's very much a WBA man & can do anything he likes with them. However, if Geale doesn't win IBF, then rematch is the way to go.
I'm not annoyed about it, but I would prefer him to continue on the world stage, rather than beat up on someone who Woods has beat. Mandy is irrelevant now.
When Abraham is finished with his last Super 6 commitment, Geale would get $1m to defend against Abraham in Germany. He was quoted not long ago as saying he would go back to MW as he's identified SMW as not his go. The bloke's a massive draw there and sell's out 20k stadiums. In saying this and I said it yonks ago, I can't see Geale fighting anyone but Mundine as a first defence.
