Desperate Darren begs Macklin for a shot - cringe!

Sturm and barker will end macklin's career..he will get battered by sturm then barker will outbox him.

 

Many of those who sneer at Macklin calling himself an Irishman have no problem including Barry McGuigan in their lists of British boxers. Despite the fact McGuigan was born and raised in Ireland and whose parents were Irish. Funny that.

 

Macklin isn't going to take the world by storm but Barker is seriously overrated on the British Forum. I think Craig McEwan would beat him. I bet you he'll look poor against Spada and scrape by a la Belgecham. I don't think there is evidence to suggest he'll outclass Macklin.

 

In fairness Spada has never been comprehensively beaten by anybody so any kind of win for Barker would be good.

 

my old lad was born in london and moved to Dublin at 14 , he was brought up in Peckham which was full of Irish by 2 Irish parents and was always told by them he was Irish .

I dont understand how people find it so hard to comprehend .

If i asked you to prove that statement you could'nt, so how have you come to this conclusion mate. If the irish had a naz froch hatton etc etc they'd still be wanking now.

What do you expect me to do, trawl through the posters' history to find where they have mentioned McGuigan in their British boxers list? We both know what I said is true, even if I can't prove it. Just like you can't prove the Irish would be wanking over a top boxer like Naz, Froch or Hatton.

 

I'm not one to go out of my way to critisise the work of other people, nor will I ever be. However, that article is just far too biased. I mean, you chastise British sources for being biased towards their fighters, which you are correct about in some instances,(BN defending the decision of Rodriguez-Theophane was particularly bad) but that does not justify you putting out something even more biased towards the other side. It's not an adequate excuse,
