army of 1 faces ban from rep footy. http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/sp...ith-coach-sheens/story-e6frexnr-1226045221821 this, fighting sponsors etc.great player might be a bit of a tool though.does not work well with others.
Yeah I know, Titans chasing him hard. Apparently there will be something like 11 players leaving the club at the end of the year
Why doesn't Parramatta keep their money and not try buy Sandow instead, investing in a good hooker... That being said though, Parramatta has had some of the best hookers in the past 8 years, and let all of them go...
Yep, he's a ****ing idiot but also a ****ing good player. Just a shame he can't learn to channel his aggression and keep it on the field instead of cutting up rough off it. I thin k he's one of those blokes who's just gonna keep getting worse as he gets older instead of mellowing with age :-(
I think Parra are in panic mode and are just gonna keep making mistakes with their recruitment. They need to start at the beginning and rebuild...get a 5-year plan happening, buy 2 current marquee players and 3 future marquee players to build a team around, keep their halves so they can build a good combination instead of constantly letting their hookers go...they need Dessie Hasler at the helm!!! Someone needs to put a foot up Hayne's arse and get him playing week in week out instead of in bursts from the back when he feels like it...if he showed the motivation he would be a good lock in future years.
Hayne has been playing fairly well this year. He truly is their one and only saviour come match time, you can just see what's written over his face halfway through the game "**** my team is ****"
Gower and Finch hey , a few miles on the speedo with both but at least they are leaders and impose their will on teams they play in . they are better by miles then the 1/2 and 5/8 we're burdened with now.
Yeah, he'll get diagnosed with the MadDog (at Souths), and Craig Field syndrome and will start chucking hissy fits on the field. Those '5 year plans' never work. Souths always get 1 year into them and then start another 5 year plan. I thought Sandow was actually our best player last Saturday night. He scored a try out of nothing, kicked a monster of a 40/20, and his defence was fairly solid. The kid is getting tutoring from outside the club, and it's starting to pay dividends for him. I would like to see him paired with Finch actually. Finch is an organizer, which is something that Sandow has never had next to him. Gower can **** off. I really hope that Richardson stops chasing his ex Penrith, Sharks employees, buddies, etc. It's getting ridiculous and the club should no longer be a retiring home to Richo's class pets.
Granted Gower is a Ennis type grub , but hes a winner which sandow is'nt and never will be , can get all the tutoring he wants from johns , langer , sterlo , ricky and mortimer - will still be the same sandow- an individual player who constantly misreads the big moments in a match such as idiotic shoulder charges on 20 stone front rowers this year which have led to 5 tries scored.
True! The whole point of a 5-year plan is to stick to it, not keep restarting. It worked for Manly when they got Dessie in - he got them to every finals series and eventually a GF win (not to mention by a record score over the cheating Storm who had towelled them up in the previous GF) within 4 years of taking the job.
I knoiw. I was taking the ****. With Parra, I think they ****ed up last year by giving Anderson the boot. The guy took them to a grand final just 12 months before and had a great history of building up the clubs youth development etc. Since then, they've brought in Kearney who has come in and put a broom through the playing roster. Fair enough, most people will say that Matao, Inu etc were frustrating to follow, and too inconsistant, but he has replaced them with ****ing bin juice and Parra are still something like 600k under the cap. They will go well to avoid the spoon this year, and that extra 600K wont seem so much when they will have to fork out overs to sign players as noone will want to go there because A, Parramatta the place is a total **** hole, and B, the team are a complete rabble going nowhere fast. Theres a foundation there for a great club though as they have a great junior base. If they do get the spoon, it's not all doom and gloom as recent history suggests that success around the corner can easily be achieved. The scum finished with the spoon in 2009 and made it to the grand final the next season. the Dogs got the spoon in 2008 then followed that up by just missing out on reaching the 2009 grand final. Even Souths finals appearance in 2007 came on the back of a spoon and winning just 3 games the previous season. Sometimes its better to hit rock botom and force a massive reshuffle rather than to just miss out as problems can then often go under the radar.
Parra should have kept Mateo, he was a good 5/8th/lock, good ball-playing skills...Inu meh, but Mateo could have been an important senior player in a year or 2's time if they'd held onto him...they busted up tha Polly boyz combo getting rid of those 2...Fui's feeling lonely in the forwards without his boi Feleni eh :yep
