Could it happen??? He's about 5'9 (same height or maybe even taller than Canelo, and in a pic with Mosley he appears much bigger than Shane), has won titles at featherweight, super featherweight, and lightweight, and has said he wants to fight at 147. He is only 28 years old, so I don't think 154 is out of the question for him.
of course he can...size, and the southpaw stance are definately on his side....he has shown a great beard so far, and power too.....
I think he can, he seems good enough and says he wants to fight at welter,if he is smart he gets into the mix now in the crowded 140 division.
I think the best decision is to wait a little bit for the JMM fight. If he could take him on the downside and beat him that would a great boast for his career. He should stay alway from Rios at LW
isnt jmm moving up anyway? either judah or pac seems to be the case right now, I think it would be a very hard fight for jmm against guerrero. im confused about one thing, so Guerrero is the interim wba champ, rios the regular one and marquez the wba superchamp ..........
Skills pay the bills... even if he has something mediocre his safety first counter punching and great at picking shots will take him far... Work on that defense a little more and you got a great combination to take on here to 147... lets see how you do there before we get to154.. But he definitely has the skills. Size... will.
He's just started filling out at 135, why push the envelope at 147 or 154. I think it would mean more if he cleaned out 135 for the moment.
Guerrero is a solid fighter but let's not get carried away/ I'd be suprised if he can compete at 140 with the current crop of fighters at the top of the junior welterweight division.
He has been saying for awhile now that he wants to go to 147...i don't think he plans on sticking around and cleaning out a division.
