Richard Schaefer already received a contract offer for the fight. This has been widely reported in the boxing media.

And at the time, Floyd was already a bigger PPV attraction than Cotto or Margo. Margo had never been in a big PPV event, and neither had Cotto. Floyd was bigger than both at the time (as he is now).

And obviously, if Arum said "ok, we'll do the Oscar fight, I'll promote you, and then we'll see afterwards", you dont think after seeing those numbers, he would not have given Floyd more than 10 million?

And believe me, Arum is money hungry like any promoter. And like any promoter, he would want to have both of the top money makers in the sport. Remember, it wasnt Arum who left him, it was the other way around.

I've read. It's still not official.

What does being bigger then Cotto or Margarito have to do with anything? Those two were NOT the measuring stick for being a draw. Being bigger then both at the time didn't mean that much.

There's a difference between that Floyd situation with Arum, and the Pac sitatuon of now you compared it too.

Pac is the biggest draw in boxing currently. Floyd wasn't when he needed a three fight deal for ten mill a pop.

This question makes little sense. Seriously, I don't know what you are asking.

Ok...not sure what this is supposed to back though.

What I'm saying is that not having Floyd to this day has cost Arum alot of money he would have earned by having him. True Arum is filthy rich, but if he didnt care about money, he would have just retired long ago. And he was wrong, in a major way, to suggest that Floyd would not be a big enough draw to command such a purse as 10 million.

He could have given Floyd the 10 million per, and he would have made a killing. Instead, he let him go to Oscar, and then missed out on the biggest grossing fight in history. (And it's interesting that Arum sued GBP and MAyweather for grosses from that fight after it occured, despite having no rights to either fighter).

And Arum sent the offer to GBP dude, as he is legally bound to do. It's no secret he wants to take JMM from GBP, and he is trying to do that. It's not a rumor, Arum himself said that JMM was the likely next fight for Pac later this year.

It's only a rumor in your mind. But let's say, Arum actually did make the offer like Scheafer said, before the Mosley fight. What would you make of that?

And? Dduem Arum is set for the rest of his life. He's still a success. He has the biggest draw in boxing AGAIN. He managed to survive just fine after DLH left. and is doing the same post Floyd.

Again, STOP trying to speak in certain terms for people. This might surprise you, Arum ALSO cares for the sport, not just money. You're thinking of your only hero, Floyd.

Again....so? Arum isn't hurting. He's doing just fine. Boxing always has bumps in the road.

And what does that suit have to do with anything? What ****in topic are you even on? This is another reason I tire of talking to Floyd fanboys. Y'all jump around more then a kid w/ ADD at a kool aid convention.

You aren't telling me anything new. Untill JMM signs w/ Top Rank, or to face Pac, it's a RUMOR the fight will happen.

Hey Lance wasn't watching boxing back then. He went into a gym in Alaska and never went back because it was too tiring on him.
