Hatton would have lost every fight if they were all deducted. You have to be consistent if you start clamping down on hugging. It's always been one of my bug bears but nobody listened to me when I ranted about how refs should penalize it more strictly.

He may have only hurt him with one punch but he through and landed a lot of leather that round and simpson did absolutely nothing. 10-8

The Lindsay will have given him faith but I know for a FACT that a while back he was close to chucking it. How many nights like that do you take?

Damn shame, because the likes of him are why Yanks like me bother tuning in to British boxing.

I thought Simpson deserved the nod.
It looked like Swifty took rounds by simply pushing Simpson on to the ropes even though Simpson was still landing cleaner, especially with his uppercut

It depends on how you see it i guess. A few people saw it that way i personally didn't but i bet O'Connor had it as a 10-7 round. :patsch

He got tired and then the survival tactics came out. I don't mind clinching, I love inside work but that was just spoling tactics because he was tired. He should have been warned and a point deducted.

Smith would do well to do some MMA with Quigley :)
