Wow, that's a veritable hall of fame of big stiffs and also ran's you listed... outside of the giant farmhand who didn't like to fight and KO'd Johnson.

Unfortunately, the guys gave Johnson various fits, draws, defeats, knockdowns looked like this...

Same here. How much credit would you give Wlad if he beat Lennox Lewis tomorrow, coming of a similar huge layoff?

    Great response Seamus.
    A worthy opponent. :good
ps that guy in the baggy Y fronts looks particularly anaemic:lol:
    N. B.I'm not saying that they were all world beaters but they were useful big heavyweights.Cowler for example was 6' 3.5"220lbs and had wins over
    Bill Brennan x3
    Homer Smith
    Gunboat Smith
    Erminio Spalla
    George Godfrey
    Andre Anderson
    Porky Flynn
    Denver Ed Martin
    Boer Rodel
And Johnson beat him when he was 41 years old, not too shabby ,imo.
ps Marvin Hart was 9 when that pic was taken.
Choynski was around the same weight as Johnson when he kod him , inside the light heavy limit.
    But good craic.:good

    Cheers. :good

No wonder he beat Johnson if that's what he wore when they fought. Johnson must have been too busy pissing himself laughing! :nut

Mendoza would claim playground set to's if it bolsters the Jeffries case.

I love Jack Johnson. He was a badass on a level so far beyond boxing it almost makes boxing inconsequential. I just think his social importance and general bravery (and the fact he wasn't killed) inflates his actual greatness in the ring. Whatever... if someone want's to think he's the greatest of all time, go ahead. There are certainly worse you could chose... like Jeffries.

Right into slandering Ali these days eh? Because you're a coffin dodger, you don't get called out as much for your hero-worshipping/nut hugging of a certain Mr Dempsey, and shameful bashing of The Greatest.

    You're a ****. An old one.
