Anyone who has ever made it to the championship level respectfully, especially if they are from a 2nd rate or 3 world country.

Michael Gomez, may not have been near World Level but had a seriously dramatic life and career. A film was supposed to be made about it but nothing ever seem to come to fruition...

ouma's pencilled in to face the scary gennady golovkin on june 18th.if he could pull that off,it would represent one of the most monumental turnarounds in boxing history, and a definite silver screen bio would surely follow!

There is talk for a "Fighter 2" that surrounds the Gatti-Ward trilogy, and goes into the relationship Micky and Arturo formed.

that's a pity.i thought 'the fighter' was lousy, despite all the hype.and never let the truth get in the way of a good story,eh?!i guess there's money to be made in a sequel, but i fear the storyline will be wrecked by the hollywood screenwriters, embellishing half truths and inventing wholly fictitious passages...

Boxing is a goldmine for inspiring, tragic, or both types if stories. Someone I remember spoke about a jewish champion who died in a concentration camp. I think a short series of stories on HBO or Showtime with a creative team would be great and people might see other sides of fighters never seen before and leave the audiences shocked or in awe. From Duran knocking down a horse which brings a comedic effect to Kasim Ouma living a hellish childhood to Salvador Sanchez dying tragically at 23 and already an ATG becoming boxings biggest What if? the stories are there you just have to uncover them.
