Mayweather fought DLH because it was a major money fight. We cant blame Mayweather for that.....but afterward he should have stepped up and challenged real fighters, the best in the Welterweight division, and I'm talking about Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito, but instead, Mayweather retired.

Margarito brought endless stamina, nonstop punching, and one of best chins in boxing.
Mayweather skillwise is so much better, but that matchup was interesting because Mayweather workrate is so low, while Margarito's is sky high.

    Paul Williams speaks for itself.
He had some monumental physical advantages that required Mayweather to be at his absolute best to come out with a win against.
How and if Mayweather could have dealt with Williams freakish characteristics we may never know.

Doc, PBF did NOT duck Shane when Shane was PRIME. That did NOT happen. And vice versa Shane did NOT duck PBF.

They were NEVER on each other's radar. Arum controlled PBF's career and PBF was just establishing himself when Shane moved up to fight DLH.

Where do you guys get all this BS?

That would've been such a boring ass fight and Floyd's PPV sales would've took a massive blow and he would've lost negotiating leverage a bit.

As a neutral, I was surprised that Floyd never fought Cotto when Cotto was undefeated or Margarito. Now Im surprised that the Pacquiao fight has so many stumbling blocks

It's no secret why Floyd duckd out (retired ) of fighting a prime Cotto, younger mosley, Margarito (etc ) , but then came back two years later looking way bigger and musclular. He never had the guts to fight those bigger guys , he waited till they all killed eachother then he came back. The problem is he wasn't expecting Pacquiao to start terrorizing the division, now he's ducking a smaller guy.

Why did Floyd fight these guys while Cotto, Marg, Tszu, P Williams and Clottey were around and more deserving than any of them ?
truly amazing these are all his fights from 2003-2006. You could not cherry pick more than this while the 5 names mentioned above are around.

Sharmba Mitchell - Knocked out by fighters Floyd Should have faced(Tszu PW)
Arturo Gatti - best style invented for Mayweather
Henry Bruseles KO'd by 14-7 Roberto Ortega Prior
    DeMarcus Corley No notable wins
Phillip N'dou - No notable wins
Victoriano Sosa - No notable wins

by your logic, Floyd should've ignored lightweight title defenses after Castillo, skipped jr welterweight, ..and not use Mitchell for his welter debut..
    :silly

Seems obvious that Floyd is ducking Pacquiao. If Floyd would only fight him, I could forgive him for not fighting any other names which people complain about.
