Was Primo Carnera recognized by the NBA or NYSAC as heavyweight champ?

    didn't know if anyone had any links or knowledge on this subject. i've read both the nba and nysac did and didn't recognize him as champ after he beat sharkey. i know he was the ring champ but was wondering about the two major organizations at the time. your help is appreciated. thanks!

    There was some controversy regarding sharkey's victory schmelling so it's feasible he lost a belt in the aftermath.
