Why is it so hard for fans to rate Pac & PBF soundly?

If you understand and know the following:

    Pac's Career Synopsis

Defeated a solid but old Ledwaba at 122lb

Defeated a future HOF (past his prime but still top fighter) in MAB at 126lb

Lost to a future HOF in Morales at 130lb

Defeated 2x a future HOF in Morales at 130lb

Draw with a future HOF in JMM at 126lb

Defeated a future HOF in JMM (razor thin decision) at 130lb

The above are who Pac defeated to really solidify his HOF credentials. I don't care about the lineal title at flyweight, as the guy he defeated record is impressive, but his competition was not. I don't care about Pac's 2 loses, as he was very young and learning his craft, and was a boy fighting men in most cases. I know he struggled with Hussein and Agapito but again he was young and still learning his craft.

Then you have the following victories:

Defeated a future HOF in DLH at 147 (Only one problem, DLH wasn't ranked as a welter nor was he a highly ranked jr middle. He was a NAME only; Pac was an underdog only due to perception, not reality)

Defeated Hatton for the lineal 140lb title (Solid win against a top 140lb fighter of this era; But Hatton is NOT a HOF'er by any stretch of the imagination)

Defeated Cotto at 147lb (It was a catch weight fight, but he dominated a PRIME Cotto; Yes people Cotto was prime, he was the same guy that defeated Shane and the same guy that lost to Margo; Stop with the cliches, "Cotto was never the same", Says who?)

Defeated Clottey at 147lb (Solid win but again like Cotto and Hatton, he isn't a HOFer; But he was a top 5 welter of his era)

Defeated Margo at 154lb (Another catch weight fight for a bogus title; But Margo was a top welter of his era; He wasn't a HOFer but he was still a top fighter when Pac fought him; Solid win)

    Conclusion

Now looking at this, it is clear to me that Pac is a great fighter. He has defeated several HOF'ers. And he also beat top fighters of weight classes far above his prime weight of 126lb-130lb.

But at the same time he was also defeated at his prime weight by those same HOF'ers and or given extremely tough fights. So if you are rating Pac which wins do you give more credence to? To me this is obvious, it is the ones against HOF fighters.

And against that level of comp, Pac was NOT dominant when he was fighting a HOF fighter who was still on top of the division he was fighting in. So that being the case how could any of the following be true about Pac:

    1. Pac is the Goat (How can this possibly be true?)
    2. Pac wipes the floor with a prime DLH (How can this possibly be true?)
    3. Pac destroys Salvador Sanchez (How can this possibly be true?)

I am just throwing out ridiculous statements by *******s regarding Pac. The evidence is clear, Pac is great, no doubt. But he isn't Henry Armstrong or Ray Robinson. He isn't even Ray Leonard. It's true, he has won 3 lineal titles, but only one came against a HOF'er. And it is who you fight and when you fight them that counts the most. Otherwise Zab's winning of the welter weight lineal title would be some great achievement, but it isn't.

If you believe anything I have said about Pac is hate, you are blind as ****. And I can do the same thing for PBF I am just lazy right now and don't feel like it. *****s are guilty just as much as *******s and PBF's career resume has less HOF wins, less lineal titles, and more holes in his level of competition at the higher weights. Floyd is no more the GOAT than Manny. He is a great fighter who has struggled with 2 decent southpaws, and a pretty good lightweight in Castillo. None of which are HOF'ers. And besides Corrales, Castillo and an old Mosley who has PBF fought to make you believe he in the class of Armstrong or Robinson, or Leonard?

Why can't fans see these two fighters for who they really are?

    Another opinion.

New generations of boxers will never ever ever beat the credentials of the olden time boxers. Myth.

No point in arguing tho cause it will never be proven, and the only advantage the old schoolers have is the luxury of being ranked before these new generations were born.

Will always be a matter of opinion and is a very good conversation piece =))

If PAC and Floyd did what they did in the old days, they'd probably be ranked in the same regard as Armstrong, pep..etc..

That's why its hard, and actually doesnt matter.

Dude this isn't some old fart telling you stories about the good ol days.

If you want to compare what Robinson actually did and compare it to Pac that is easy to do.

It isn't a comparison worth making though. Robinson's competition was better, he dominated far more substantially, he was the undisputed champ in 3 divisions when there were only 8, his overall record dwarfs Manny's.

Come on dude stop living in DENIAL. Pac's record is right in front of you. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see the difference between SRR and Pac.

If you can't admit that then you are just a blind fanboy.

Who is the GOAT? What's you top 5 ATG list? Why are you just mentioning Armstrong and SRR like they separate themselves from the upper echelons of boxing greats?

There's only one thing that matters, that's clear. Pac > Floyd. Pac the greatest of his generation, and not Floyd.

Pac does have a greater CAREER than Floyd.

Pac better than Floyd head to head? Nope.

But that is just my opinion only way to be sure is to fight the fight.

Mayweather's 2 biggest fights were ODLH and Shane Mosley.

Most expected Floyd to have a better showing vs ODLH. Tom Kaczmarek who is a very respected Nevada judge had it 115-113 for ODLH and Jerry Roth had it 115-113 for Floyd.

After that Oscar beat Forbes and in the same timeframe of Mosley's layoff from Antonio to Floyd, Oscar faced Manny and could not even see his punches.

Floyd vs Shane did not prove much in my eyes. Outboxing a 39 year old out of the ring 16 months is what was supposed to happen. Shane rocking Floyd showed the vulnerability that exists from the slight loss of speed and Mosley vs Mora confirmed Shane's best days are behind him. I don't give much credit for Pac facing Mosley but at the same time Shane deserved those opportunities for his history in the sport.

If Floyd was as good as his fans say and as good as he himself says a) he would have fought Manny b) ODLH fight would not have been as close and there should have been no hicups vs Mosley.
