Herrera is trying to time Williams leaping around him with a missile jab, pivoting and firing it from a stationary position. Williams is able to avoid the jabs and land his own while moving, and gets a few quick flashy shoeshines in here and there. Herrera walks Williams almost into a corner but yet again is unable to keep him there. Big 6 punch combo to the body by Williams, grunting on the exhalation with each throw. Williams is still economical with his punches but trying to hurt Herrera to the body now. Herrera smothers him once more into the ropes, pushing with both his forearms and trying to slam him with a right but gets absolutely tattooed with quick shots by Williams sliding off the ropes and then backing up.

Atlas has it 79-73 for Williams, only giving Herrera the 3rd (I gave that to Williams, but awarded Herrera the 5th and 6th)

Zab Judah is being congratulated by Joe Tessitore for his comeback against Kaizer Mabuza.

Tessitore is in full fanboy mode, gushing over that left uppercut KO win of Zab's on FNF a year ago.

Atlas asks what Zab feels is different about himself now at age 33 from when he first won a title at 22. He asks if he feels like George Foreman, where he has lost some physical talent but gained some wisdom.

Zab takes it as an opportunity to go "GOD GOD GOD GOD GOD JESUS :blabla"

 

Judah wants Amir Khan or Juan Manuel Marquez.

He wants Marquez because they're from the same generation and Marquez is one of the best "Messykin" fighters of his generation.

Atlas says that Marquez is getting long in the tooth while Judah is aging like fine wine, and tells Zab (to his face, of course) that he has a very good chance in that match-up. :rofl Judah, who honestly sounds like he's slurring a bit - says he has tons of respect for Marquez but wants those big match-ups and a chance to prove he's the best.

Referee Tony Weeks gives final instructions and accidentally touches Conyers' junk while saying "here is good, here is low, aqui bien aqui low".

Round 1

Conyers jerks side to side, turning his shoulders in while advancing at a reckless pace and hooking hard. Molina jabs to the body and slides back. Molina throws a right to the body and keeps turning Conyers, holding his jab out in his face. Conyers has yet to land anything very cleanly. Conyers is looking very unsteady with his balance, spinning around and nearly tripping himself up throwing hard hooking shots. Molina jabs his way in and gets clinched, with his gloves pinned to his hips. Conyers misses a right hand and again tries to grab Molina but finds him too slippery. Conyers is landing a little to the body as Molina works his way around him with jabs and short combos.

Round 2

Molina keeps pushing his jab into Conyers' face and stomach while moving his head on the outside. Conyers ineffectively swipes at him, still hooking himself off balance and not able to get off when there's a jab in his face. Molina pushes him back to the ropes with a jab and a short combo to the body and Conyers tries to just swipe lamely at him with a floating right hand. Molina keeps outboxing him down the stretch.

Round 3

Conyers throws a couple of limp-wristed wet-noodle jabs, doubling it and missing and trying to get fancy by rolling his shoulders a bit in case Molina counters. Molina doesn't step in with any, and lures Conyers around the ring landing just enough without giving away space. Molina lands nice body punches and backs Conyers to the ropes. Conyers jabs and gets parried, and then jabbed in the face several times by Molina. Conyers pulls his head back, leaning into the ropes and stunting a right hand by Molina. Conyers throws a jab to the body and Molina walks right into it and they wind up in a clinch with Conyers still crouched down. Molina is taking quick steps inside as Conyers throws telegraphed left hooks that bounce harmlessly off his shoulder.

Round 4

Molina keeps working, moving around Conyers inside. He pays for it, as he's caught with a punch that dips his legs a little and causes a glove to brush the canvas. It's ruled a KD. Conyers keeps throwing, a slow 1-2 and a limp jab to the body. Molina is staying inside and throwing hard stuff right back in between blocking. Conyers doubles his jab, hitting air - then throws a right cross that misses just as badly. Molina pops his jab, and throws two hard head shots that thud home. Left hook lands for Molina, then a right to the body.

10-8 Conyers (although Molina easily won the rest of the round, but didn't totally dominate it enough to reverse the standard 10-8 awarded for the KD)
