His whole career is outboxing guys that the fighters he ducked destroyed. Time for him to put up or walk away without having a chance to even be top 3 best in his era. The zero ironically will be his downfall.

You said Cotto is like a stronger Castillo. He isn't. They don't fight the same.

I don't know about not being in the top 3. The only one in his era that has beaten more world champs than him is De La Hoya. Who else would be rated higher besides Manny?

Actually the vast majority of Floyds opponents come off dominating victories over guys he supposedly ducked.

Corrales beat Casa. Hatton beat tsyzu. Mosley beat Margarito ect ect.

Casamayor destroyed Corrales on their first fight and the second was very close and definitly he beat Castillo too, but the powers to b wanted the other way, and he was on his way down.

    Someone's bad at timelines...

    - Corrales fought Floyd long before he fought Casa. You must be thinking of Manfredy
    - Floyd beat Hatton more than two years after his rather dirty victory over Tszyu. Beforehand, Hatton won against Collazo, but definitely looked like he needed a while to adjust to welter.

IMO and the reason I am so anti mayweather is because styles make fights and I need to see him fight the style of fighter he has always avoided to see which would prevail. I want to see him vs a Cotto and Manny and would have liked to see him face Tszu. Castillo gave him problems in the first fight as two handed power punchers who are not one dimensional or way past their prime never were seen again in the ring with him.

So Cotto beat Shane. Margarito beat Cotto. Shane beat Margarito.

By your logic Shane lost to Cotto so Margarito would have beat him

no he's saying that Floyd is fighting guys who looked impressive in their last fight. He's not implying the A>B>C theory

    talking about of the era.

Floyd don't whoop ass anymore he outboxes older fighters or fights guys who have one or less victory at WW. Hatton and JMM together fought one fight at WW before facing Floyd.

*****s better pray for Shane Mosley to swing for the fences.

If his resume was respected having never lost and sitting at #2 I guess boxing agrees the zero is very suspect.

Floyd ducked Miguel Cotto straight after Ricky Hatton. That fight was supposed to happen, but Floyd got the "urge" to retire.

He ducked Cotto blatantly at a time when Cotto was at his peak. :-(

I wouldn't consider Hopkins from this era. He started boxing in the 80s and is the same age as my dad. 90s fighters and up. Cotto isn't really a style problem. What is he going to do out box Floyd? I would have liked to see him fight Tszyu as well. But we know there is the business side to boxing. Also Oscar won't be known as a greater fighter than Floyd. Just for the simple fact he has never beat an A fighter in their prime. There is still time for the Manny fight. Unless he goes to prison no way that fight doesn't happen. You think Floyd is going to retire and be known as second best to Manny? Especially when he can fight him and prove everyone wrong. I highly doubt the fight won't happen. Floyd would be a complete idiot to retire at this time.
