Round 2

Elizondo boxes like a pro, moving at angles and keeping Espinoza running after him in every direction all with good solid counters landing from the tall and rangy kid. Nice left hand lead by Elizondo, and then he drops a quick right jab through the same hole for good measure before stepping away. Espinoza is just resorting to wild lunges and can-openers coming forward and missing badly. Elizondo is lighting him up with straight shots with those long arms.

Round 3

The fans get more action, thanks to the poor strategy of Espinoza. He keeps stubbornly running face-first into the long, straight counters of Elizondo. Espinoza has his hands up in a minimal display of defense but is getting hit pretty squarely and often. They lean in close and Vic Drakulich gives Elizondo a stern warning for something while Espinoza hits him on the break. Weird. Espinoza buries his head in Elizondo's chest again and keeps plugging away to the body. Elizondo gets some distance and starts jabbing and slapping his way into a quick clinch before casting Espinoza off. The shorter man gets drenched with leather as he comes through the rain without an umbrella. The crowd eats it up, and he does get some short clubbing shots off when he gets Elizondo momentarily pinned against the ropes.

30-27 but Espinoza's best round if you credit taking a dozen clean punches to land a not-so-clean one.

 

Round 4

Flurries from Elizondo, but he's possibly tired as he winds up tackling Espinoza to the ropes while leaned forward with his own momentum keeping him folded up and stepping along. Elizondo lands two hard straights. They are toe to toe, leaned together and breathing hard. They spin off the ropes and Elizondo gets back to work, popping the southpaw jab and trying to freeze Espinoza at the end of his reach. Espinoza lands a wide sweeping right as Elizondo doesn't cover up! It turned his head but didn't seem to have hurt him badly. Espinoza's best punch of the night. Elizondo stays behind his right jab for the last thirty seconds, with the crowd wanting more...and not getting it.

You won't have a choice. With this win, and with his time served on the shelf...there's no way Quillin is going to be kept a secret from big-network audiences for much longer. We'll be seeing him on HBO BAD or Shobox at the very least by the end of the year. :yep

For a guy that nobody really knows outside some diehards, he already has some pretty decent names on his resume.
