Solo Boxeo: Peter Quillin vs. Jesse Brinkley RBR

Round 1

Sandoval comes forward throwing hard shots, windmilling a bit. Rempp is getting caught but is also delivering straight blasts into Sandoval's face, countering while backing up to the ropes. Rempp shows a jab, and paws with it a little. Lazy 1-2 by Rempp, thrown from too far away. Sandoval lands a HUGE left hook to the chin, biggest punch of the round by far. Rempp tries a 1-2 to the body, but overreaches again and is nearly hit pulling back and up. Sandoval jabs him into a corner but doesn't pursue further. Sandoval keeps jabbing him into quietude.

Round 2

Sandoval keeps pressing forward, waiting for Rempp to retract his jab and then flying in with both hands sailing toward Rempp's head from on high. Sandoval is intelligent if not pretty in his approach. Body shots by Sandoval. Rempp stays at mid-range with his guard up, pawing his jab a little. Rempp tries an uppercut from too far out. Sandoval is slamming him with long wild punches coming in. REMPP CAUGHT! HURT!!! He leans in and hugs. Sandoval absolutely whipped him with some haymakers there, with Rempp showing no head movement. They separate and Sandoval keeps tagging him with reaching lefts and rights. Now they trade at point blank, both landing their 1-2 at the same time rock'em sock'em style. Sandoval gets Rempp backing up with more of his wild looping shots around the sides.

Round 3

Rempp is trying to jab his way in but is bringing the left hand back low, and paying for it. Sandoval keeps tagging him with hard punches to the face, landing especially well with his wide left hooks as Rempp just makes himself completely available. Rempp is getting tooled! Sandoval might have punched himself out as Rempp drives him into a corner, still eating punches, and starts working the body. Rempp rips out uppercuts and reaches around with left hooks to the flank. Sandoval leans back against the ropes and tries to windmill his fists up into Rempp's face before returning his arms to a folded up position to protect his body. Rempp caught BIG with a right hand. Now a short left hook lands for Sandoval, as he fights his way free of the ropes with Rempp backing off. Rempp staggered by a right/left combo, and leans in to hug. Sandoval is again pushed to the ropes as Rempp just flops onto him and pushes.

Round 4

Rempp comes behind noodle jabs, and tries to push through a right cross. Sandoval just leans back and rips loose with the kitchen sink. Sandoval just swinging for home runs with every shot thrown with either arm - and Rempp is taking them ALL! Rempp finally staggers a bit, zombie-like as Sandoval keeps blasting his skull. Finally Joe Cortez has seen enough and saves the tough but green & stupid Rempp from himself without any knockdowns.

TKO4! Sandoval wins his pro debut.

I had originally missed the part where they were all "party time, excellent! arty"

It just seemed completely random, like Izzy worn his commentating outfit to a parade and not bothered to brush himself off before heading to work.

This was by far the best Solo Boxeo fight of 2010, and high on the list of candidates for overall FOTY.
