GSP is very hard to take down, Shields could get worn down quickly if he does not time his take downs well. That said, biggest test for GSP since Fitch.

I don't think this fight will be boring because I am actually interested to see who is better on the ground between these 2. GSP has a big edge on the feet but should it go to the ground it should be interesting.

It's fun to believe in the hype and think this is actually going to be a competitive fight. Reality is, GSP dominates Shields. GSP is better on the feet and ground. Make no mistake. We can talk all we want but we'll see saturday night.

I like your analysis method Pelench, someone is only what their last two fights are, I will try it myself:

Based on your last two posts, you have a very low attention span and if you are still reading this, you would fair better watching something like pro-wrestling.

Shields best six wins are probably Henderson, Miller, Kampmann, Condit, Sakuari and Okami. All by decision. The simple fact is that whenever Shields goes against anybody with decent grappling he fails to come anywhere near to submitting them.

Sorry your points have completely contradicted me. After all its only like Thompson had 14 defeats in his MMA career (half of which were by submission) and Pyle has been submitted by such world class fighters as Matt Horwich, Valdas Pocevicius and Brock Larsson. Boy do I feel stupid. Egg all over my face.

what you said was that he never submitted anyone who has decent grappling, you are wrong. Im sure your used to being wrong though.

But also the original point that Pelencho said was that "Shields never submitts anyone" which is obviously not true considering he submitted Robbie lawler and Paul daley as well.

Ps. saying half of Thompson's losses were by submission is not completly accurate considering 3 of those submission were to strikes.

I stand by what I said - MMA grappling is different to jiu-jitsu.

so what is your point? is it that Shields is unable to beat Gsp by submission?
