    no particular order:

    Dempsey
    Marciano
    Louis
    Foreman
    Tyson

This is an extremely rough estimate, but its not criminal to put Tyson in there

    Add in shavers (top 3)

    1. Foreman
    2. Louis
    3. Shavers

Gets tough after that. Tyson, Dempsey, Marciano, Wlad, Lewis, Moore, maybe frazier then... if I had to rank them.

    4. Dempsey
    5. Marciano
    6. Wlad
    7. Lewis
    8. Moore
    9. Tyson
    10. Frazier

This is based on one shot to sleep. Not combination punching.

I would #1 or #2. You can flip flop Tyson or Louis. They basically both had tremendous power, speed, accuracy, and variety. Great skill & composite punchers.

    What's your criteria, Nigel?

Tyson won on multiple punches, delivered with crazy quickness and an angry demeanor. Wlad, Vitali, and George Foreman knockout'ed their opponents often with a single power -punch and that is really the test of power.

Tyson didn't have one punch power like Foreman or Shavers. Actually Ali has a better KO percentage against top opposition than Tyson.

Yes, but the question is not power it's best punchers. Speed, accuracy, variety of punches, are all factors to what makes a great puncher.

Who top level fighters did Shavers really knockout? An old Norton? Yes, he hit harder than anybody else, but power doesn't mean anything if you don't have the skill, speed, or accuracy to land it.

I'm not sure your last statement is true, even if it were that's not the end all reflection to punching ability.

When Shavers hit Holmes with one right hand it was so hard that Larry was stone cold out before he hit the canvass - but that all time great chin of his allowed him to get up and go on to win .

The last shot of the barrage that Tyson landed on Holmes when Larry's right arm got caught up in the ropes left him stiff on the floor with Joe Cortez and Dr Charles Wilson
    fearing for Holmes' life.

Like Louis , Tyson took guys out with short, precise and rapid punches in two's and three's

Guys like baer or foreman could ice a guy with one shot - and in max's case even kill a man .

    Shavers
    Foreman
    Baer
    Tyson
    Louis

Tyson was a fighter that knocked guys out with very short and crisp shots. He was easily in the top 10.
