Ali and Lewis probably win the most, i say probably...Tyson would be up there too, in the end it would be pretty close.

How about no prep, no style analysis, off the cuff fights?:?

I'm only listing the fighters that I would pick them to beat, the names that are left out are too hard for me to pick a winner with conviction

    Muhammad Ali Beats:

    George Foreman
    Jack Dempsey
    Mike Tyson
    Larry Holmes
    Lennox Lewis
    Rocky Marciano
    Sonny Liston
    Joe Louis
    Evander Holyfield
    Joe Frazier

    George Foreman Beats :

    Mike Tyson
    Joe Louis
    Rocky Marciano
    Lennox Lewis
    Jack Dempsey
    Joe Frazier
    Evander Holyfield

    Mike Tyson Beats:

    Larry Holmes
    Jack Dempsey
    Lennox Lewis
    Rocky Marciano

    Evander Holyfield Beats:

    Mike Tyson
    Lennox Lewis
    Jack Dempsey

    Joe Frazier Beats:

    Jack Dempsey
    Larry Holmes
    Evander Holyfield
    Rocky Marciano

    Joe Louis Beats:

    Evander Holyfield
    Lennox Lewis

    Sonny Liston Beats:

    Larry Holmes
    Jack Dempsey
    Rocky Marciano
    Evander Holyfield
    Mike Tyson
    Joe Louis
    Lennox Lewis

    Jack Johnson Beats

    Mike Tyson
    Jack Dempsey
    Rocky Marciano

    Lennox Lewis Beats:

    Jack Dempsey
    Rocky Marciano

    Rocky Marciano Beats:

    Jack Dempsey

    Larry Holmes Beats:

    Jack Dempsey
    Rocky Marciano
    Evander Holyfield
    Lennox Lewis

as you can see I did'nt list Dempsey because I would'nt favour him in any of these matchs, but I left him out on a some list because although I would'nt favour him I think stylistically he has a good chance of success in the fights against them maybe even win.

Lennox Lewis draws with Tommy Farr. Foreman struggles against Marvin Hart. Junk Yard Dog has the best chance to go undefeated

Marciano only beats 1 guy? I give him a shot at a few of the others like Holyfiled, Frazier or Holmes.

I think Dempsey Marciano could be a pick em fight.

We can never know who wouldx beat who.

Legacy is more of a "real world measure".

    I will say this however.

If you give me virtualy any poster's top 20 heavyweight list, then I guarantee that their #20 would have a fair chance aginst their #1, baring a huge stylistic disadvantage e.g. Louis Patterson.

I also think that if you matched their #1 against the rest of the list, then even if you eliminated the efects of ring wear, the best they could hope for would be to beat perhaps 14 out of the 19.

I probably disagree with more than half of your picks, and my opinion is probably as valid and well thought out as yours.

That is why head to head is not a good measure.
