I mean would it? I say just take the stupid test if you've got nothing to hide and it's not going to physically impair you for the fight.

Forget all this talk as to whether he should or shouldn't take it jst answer the topic question:

I don't think it's the test itself it's the hassle you have to go through. You must let them know where you are at all times, they show up at random so it can cut into your plans etc.

it's an insult to his legacy to question whether he is clean or not.

Ah now that's a reasonable answer this I can agree with 100%. I thought it was a case of giving them some blood before & after the fight drawn directly from you. In this scenario i'd be annoyed too.

Maybe Hopkins and Pascal can come to some arrangement for a different type of test?

Philla mate if I were him and clean I'd be shouting it from the rooftops because it would make me prouder to know I am beating guys who may very well be on PEDS while I am not.

It won't hurt him to take. Pascal should have had it put into the contract before signing for a rematch.

if pascal had mentioned it legitimately while they were stipulating the contract instead of being trivial about it at a press conference, maybe that question would be valid but he didnt so they are going as planned. why the **** would hopkins bend backwards for a untimely request that amounted to no more than a hysterical outburst.

He should take it because more than any boxer, in my opinion, he's the most suspicious.
    The reasons are obvious.

And since he's with GoldenBoy and given their 'advocacy' for testing in the recent past, then he should take it out of sheer integrity and not have the label of being a hypocrite hanging over him.

Pascal ****ed him in the ass with that little ploy. Kudos.

The only problem with this request is that it wasn't brought up and asked for in the contract before both guys signed for the rematch. If I was Hopkins I would take it and beat that ass.

Obviously if he isn't taking PEDs he already knows that and doesn't need a test to prove it to himself.

Asking for a drug test is effectively implying someone is a cheat and has built their entire career on dishonesty, its an absolutely pathetic thing to assume and the sense of entitlement that people have towards this selective additional testing is a blight on the sport.

Dude please. All these fighters need to stop crying when asked for a test. Hell Ali beat the **** out of a dude bc the dude wouldn't call him Muhammad Ali and if he was fighting in this era he would take any test and make his opponent pay inside that ring for calling him out.

Pascal only started crying about drug tests after the contracts had been signed. If he was that concerned about it he probably should have brought it up earlier.
