If Rocky Marciano is so overrated, why has nobody else done what he did?

Beating Walcott, Chalres, Louis and Moore is a great accomplishment and those guys are stronger than many eras

Factor in he was small and short and had short arms and was a bleeder as well

hardly anybody since has shown the heart the grit the determination and sheer will to win

and that is why nobody has replicated that because he was so tough and never quit

Marciano is overrated in many ways.

-He had 49 pro fights in an era where fighter were a lot more active.
-He retired at a relatively young age. If he fought until 35 or 36 years old, probably he had lost a couple of times.
-With his weight and size, his power defintely had limits. He's not unnaturally strong as some tend to say.
-He demolished a shot Joe Louis. He KOed an old Jersey Joe Walcott. He KOed a past his prime Ezzard Charles. Archie Moore was #1 contender and I rate him as a top win, but you can't deny he was old. After that, Marciano beat so-so contenders like Rex Layne and Roland LaStarza.

After analizing his resume, which isn't so strong, and considering that he was a pretty small heavyweight (a cruiserweight today), I have to say that he would have been beat by most notable heavyweights from recent eras.

Well if you put any number of history's heavyweights in his era, where his best opponents were old past it champions, or old past it lightheavyweights, there would be quite a few guys who would also go undefeated.

Dumbass! You can find holes in every greats resume!

Tyson beat and overweight out of prime LHW Spinks, a far past it, semi retired Holmes who hasnt fought in 2 years, a Bedrick, who couldn't KO an Ali with parkinsons, overall, and older opposition than Marcianos
Ali, got beaten by a half blind man, he beat a druged Foreman inexperienced Foreman(24 at the time, a HW prime is 30-35) and lost to a LHW with only 6 fights
Joe Louis, Got KOd by the bum of the month
    and so on...

Marciano was one the greatest! Even Ali held him in higher regard than Frazier

    He would've ****ed Ingo up.

There's two stories on this really. 1- Cus came in with the contract to show the rematch was in the contract. Or 2- Marciano trained and tried getting back but felt he was too foregone and just said F it. Possibly a variation of 1-2. I've heard both in both Marciano biographies I've read.

I don`t think that Rocky was the best heavyweight ever, but he was not so small physically compared (some) of the top heavyweights in following decades after all. I have an impression that he weighted 220 lbs when he played baseball, but in boxing he decided to fight with a weight 184 lbs or something like that. It was enough weight for him at that time, so you can`t blame him for figuring that out and trading some of that weight for stamina. He sure could have been bigger if he needed to.
