What the **** has Ali got to do with anything?

If people want additional testing its going to have to be applied to every fighter in the sport, otherwise its a just a joke and an insult. All it brings to the table is another reason for fights to not get made, and stupid people like yourself give credence to it.

How is that? Hopkins has slowly declined each year while Pacquiao who's been in wars throughout his career suddenly starts jumping weight classes and destroying bigger guys while maintaining his speed with an increase in power.

He could be on PEDs but apart from being over 40 and being able to go toe to toe with 28 year old fighters what else is suspicious about BHOP? This is why drugs testing should be mandatory for all top level boxing bouts.

I agree. In this instance, it would totally benefit Hopkins all round. Mentally, it would one-up Pascal and give him a huge psychological edge come fight night (given that he is clean, of course).

But Pascal pissing him off in such an off-handed fashion must have exasperated Hopkins and his press conference antics reflected that. For a guy who yaps so much, the guy was totally left speechless and had to resort to physical action.

In my mind, perfect play by Pascal - whether that backfires onto his face remains to be seen but the fact that this particular facet was never expected must surely play on Hopkins's mind come fight night. Of course, he could use it to his advantage in having it put more fire in the belly but the fact it wasn't in his original mindset may also play a negative part too.

For someone who built a career on beating up little guys I'm not entirely surprised Hopkins has lasted as long as he has.

He's kind of cheated by picking on little guys all the time. Not sure if he's roided up to the gunnels but he lost to Jones back in the RJJuicing days then beat him after jones got caught and kept getting knocked out, so does that mean Hoppy is now juicing?

He might be as he's finally fighting guys his own size which he has a terrible record of doing (when clean) so possible he's trying something different like toney, mosley, jones jr, carl lewis, marion jones, holyfield, lance armstrong and all the other american sporting icons.

    it's possible.

You realise what an oxymoron is don't you? Because if you do you'd know you just said one and inadvertently stated Hopkins is indeed on PEDS.

Well done Big Bone. You are such a muppet.

I used Ali just to give you an example of how old school fighters made guys pay for bull**** outside the ring inside the ring. By the way we are in the Era of Peds. That doesn't mean that every fighter is on something either. Like I said Pascal should have gotten it put into the contract so he went about it the wrong way. It wouldn't hurt Hopkins to take it either.

People are reading this thread wrong. They're taking it as me saying Hopkins is ON PEDS. I am not.

I am asking why the tests would hurt him not whether he is on peds.

Not whether he is on PEDS but why the test would hurt him.

Why would the test hurt him?

    Why?

    Why?

    Why?

Not that he is on PEDS.

But why not take the test?

    Why?

    Get it?

taking it would mean taking pascals order. pascal trivialize the request by having a embarrassing frenzy about it after negotiations were already over. pascals manic episode showed nothing except that he is psychologically disturbed by hopkins and therefore trying to create doubt and stir **** up.
its a hassle, its a mind game. most of all its not in the contract.

Don't think you get it, try it differently. What if someone starts telling people around you you're a pedophile? Woman abuser? Weed grower? Drug abuser? Would you start doing all sorts of pyschological tests and let police search your apartment just because some dude came up with ****? Would all this hurt you? Not that you're a pedophile, but why not take a psychological test? Why?

is asking someone for a test a new way of trying to duck someone? if more and more boxers are really concerned with PEDS, they should petition the commissions itself if they feel they are not safe with the current testing in place already.
