None of you guys are qualified to critique any trainer. Take Berto's trainer who has been with him since he was a kid. Many think he is ****, well lets see any of you do what he did.

Lets see any of you actually train and devise a game plan and get a fighter into proper shape, and weight. You are all talking about something you have zero knowledge about.

 

I've heard that even before Hopkins and Fisher had their falling out, Richardson was still doing a large portion of the work. Fisher's age meant he could not be as active while training Hopkins and Richardson did a lot of the hands on stuff. I also read that family health problems meant he couldn't travel with him to Big Bear, though that might have just been the case for the second Taylor fight.

i thought he used to work hopkings corner then he had a stroke or some other illness that put him out for a few years, now his back. I vaigley remember BHop saying something about it on one of the buildup shows

 

based on what I've seen he knows the game very well and has smart boxing mind. He's just training older fighters right now who have seen there best days. Even the best trainer can't undo time. I do get the feeling though that shane needs a good nutritionist/conditioning coach , somebody like an Alexa Ariza, to get him in top shape.

Where did you get that from? I remember not too long ago, whether on a show or an interview online, where his age was mentioned and it was the same as Hopkins. I just checked intelius and it's showing he's still 45 while Hopkins recently turned 46 so Hopkins is actually slightly older.

Yea, he was out for a little. Roach stepped in for him when Hopkins fought Calzaghe and I think Wright as well.
