You forgot to mention the great David Diaz. JMM offered him 7 mil for the immediate fight and IMMEDIATELY he fought Diaz for 3 Mil. I love how all the *******s always say "yea Pac ducked JMM for ODLH, Cotto, Clottey, Margarito" and they always fail to mention Diaz which was the immediate fight after. He could have fought JMM instead of Diaz and then ODLH, Cott, CLottey and Margarito. It wasnt one or the other. Or it kind of was because they knew they were lucky to get the win and didnt want to risk it by fighting him again.
Obviously it would be much more preferable and legacy enhancing for pac to fight jmm at 135. However I fear that pac is becoming more like mayweather and his prime interest is money and advantages. We have martinez (160) cotto (154), Ortiz (147), Bradley (140), JMM (135) as the highest ranked fighters in each division (pac can't fight himself in his own division) It would be excellent if pac fought on of those guys in their own weightclass but I honestly doubt it. As much as I'd love to see a great man push himself further, I just don't think pac has the motivation to cement himself as a top 5 ATG.
pac is fighting at welter....why would anyone have to "drag" marquez to pacs weight division..JMM wants pac, not the other way around and who cares wtf mayweather did to marquez, it would simply mean Marquez had the balls to fight pac 3 times and gayweather didnt have any balls to fight him once. now close thread :hi:
Pacquiao during that time was now draining too much to fight at 130. He was set to move up and fight D. Diaz right after D. Diaz beat Morales at 135....but Pacquaio the accomodating person that he is decided to do the rematch with JMM at 130 to please the boxing fans. The plan to fight D. Diaz was already made before the Pac-JMM 2. ....and after Pac beat Diaz, everybody was tied up except for Valero and DLH. We all know what happened next.
What if Marquez drags Pacquiao down to a catchweight of 145 and Pac puts his title on the line and still whoops JMM's ass? Will people stop crying about Pac fighting Cotto at 145? I think they should
Let me refresh you something, after the first Pac/JMM fight a rematch was offered in which JMM wants the whole purse amount, about 1.5M, instead of split between them. In other words he doesn't want the rematch, why? He instead choose to fight Chris John in Indonesia for a measly 30K just to get beat.
nice to see all the styles make fights arguments cant help but notice the Pac got so big and so fast and so much more improved over the last few yrs post and that he will kill Marquez now to this day im not sure if its styles and Pac not fighting guys who have them or if its just the 1 or 2 guys that can actually bring it out and he really has improved
