    Hatton abandoned his game plan and any common sense by leaping in wildly with his chin up and no guard. Allowing the tension and bad feeling in his training camp to fester and then listening to Lee Beard instead of Mayweather Snr got his clock cleaned in record time. In short he disgraced himself in the ring and as a result of the disgraceful way he lost he disgraced himself afterward by having multiple affairs whilst resorting to heavy drinking and cocaine.

    He ended his career in disgrace, which is a real shame.

    What he did afterwards is not relevent to the thread.

    Hatton abandoning his gameplan, if there ever was one, does not make him a disgrace. He fired back at Pacquiao after being floored and finally got stretched by arguably the best fighter on earth.

    Plus it had 800k PPV in the UK alone, which is bigger than most Championship fights and only a few fighters get a bigger PPV.

    Probably shouldn't have been that big though (I didn't buy it).

    I agree **** fight and it was a farce that Audley even got this fight but it was for the world heavyweight title so no doubt it was big

    It was a big "event" and Sky was shrewd in marketing it but anyone with any knowledge on the sport knew it was a horrendous mismatch!

    Hopkins in the robert allen no contest. what an absoloutely embarrassing piece of play acting to get the fight called off.

    hopkins is disgarace in many ways, fighting welterweights like oscar and tito, then calling mosley out, fighting winky, pavlik, calzaghe above their usual weights, continously head butting, and play acting.
