Clottey is the first to come to mind. Biggest fight of his life and he covers up all night. He should've came out with guns blazing.

Seldon's "performance" against Tyson was kind of disgraceful.

The most famous one is surely SRL v Duran 2. Such a strange thing to happen.

At a guess, I'd say that a fighter who gives his best effort cannot be asked to do any more. Those guys do not disgrace themselves even in heavy defeat. Khan got up off the floor against Prescott and started swinging again. He even tried to get up the last time but couldn't. No way did he disgrace himself. Same with Hatton. Got off the floor and brought the fight to Pac. Could they have done something different and been more tactically astute? Sure. Did they give their best and go out on their shield? Damn straight. Anyone who doesn't respect that is a fool.

Being beaten by the better man is no disgrace.

It is only the fighters who don't come to fight that disgrace themselves. Harrison, Manfredo v Calzaghe, Mcloskey, McCall and others.

Many people have already pointed out, but I will reiterate their points.

How the **** did Hatton disgrace himself?

The guy took a couple of steps back whilst the fight lasted. He was seriously hurt, and out on his legs in the first round. His corner was a shambles, yet he picked himself up for the second round...and continued to try to pressure Pacquiao. All while being hurt by very fast, very hard punches. He was crude, but he wasn't disgracing himself by any means.

Hatton was beaten to the punch, then knocked out by arguably the very best version of an ATG boxer. No shame in that whatsoever.

  13. i hate to say this say because i love the man, but when esdrik morales quit against pacquiao in their third fight he disgraced himself. that **** broke my heart. i was depressed for weeks after that.
