Fight looks dead according to Schaefer. They are looking at other options now, guerrero, morales, maidana, judah. How the fug can u turn down 1.3 million dollars? atsch
Khan could punk Bradley, and that means bye-bye to the "0" and possibly bye-bye to a bigger payday down the line against Pac or PBF.
whats going on? Ithought bradley was a warrior, why is he ducking it doesnt make sense to me. either this fight or judah im not interested in any other fight right now for khan.
Fine, I'm tired of guys who don't want to fight. He's lucky to get offered that damn much with his drawing power and boring nature. I say to hell with him then. See if it turns out any better for him than it did Lamont Peterson who turned down 300k to fight Khan only to end up on ESPN2 FnF for 10k only to have that fight squashed too. I'd bet Bradley's next payday is for far less. Fighters who want to fight, please step up.
Just my own opinion here, but the dynamics of how undefeated American fighters go about their matchmaking is changing now. Bradley probably looks at how much run PBF has gotten out of his "0" and could think "hey, that can be me" when PBF hangs them up. There just aren't that many unbeaten Americans these days, especially ones with a big network like HBO. I don't like that attitude, but I get it. Khan is a threat. He's tall, long and has great speed. Bradley would get paid well for the bout, but it could wreck his future relevance and impact, fairly or not. Look at how fast Dawson has fallen off after the Pascal loss.
You need a personality to use Floyd's marketing strategy. Bradley seems much more bland compared to Floyd.
Get out of here with that crap. You don't know the whole story. Given Bradley's track record, he doesn't duck people. Many of you said he was ducking Alexander. I said bull****. Now you Khan fans are going to run with this and make Bradley seem like a ducker.
People dont know the details of why this was turned down though. If he turned this down because he didnt want to resign with his promoter, as reported, then this isnt a duck at all. He will wait out/fight out his contract and then hopefully sign with GBP and then fight Khan then...
I completely agree. But Floyd hasn't always had his persona, you know what I mean? So, maybe Bradley thinks he can develop that. The only other unbeaten American on the "scene" right now is Ward. A young gun, I mean. Cloud and others are out there, but they have to get some more run with a big outlet. I'm not saying Bradley will ever be a big player, but he may think he could become one. Especially if he can be "The Unbeaten American" once Floyd hangs them up. We'll see.
I could care less about about undefeated americans, bradley needs to keep winning those fights and just try to dominate 140 as long as he can, he is to small for welter. People like him because he is real and not a coward, thats why he shoudlnt duck, I hope he tells his side of the story soon.
Well, of course you would. But you're a broke bum. Bradley is already a multi-millionaire negotating a business deal. You don't know the techincalities of the negotiations and what made it stall.
He's not a millionaire yet, he's still a working Boxer. He's not on the level that he can turn down million dollar fights.
You'd be wrong sir. There was an article on ESPN a few days ago which stated that HBO is paying for Bradley's next fight and is paying him about 1.3 million no matter who he fights. And i think he wants to take a tune up for that. Not to mention, if he fought Khan, he had to stay with Shaw for another year and he wants to break away from Shaw. So by not fighting Khan his next fight, he gets an easy 1.3 pay day and gets to break away from his promoter. But yeah, don't let facts get in the way of your perceptions. This content is protected
