The manner of Donaire's wins contributed a lot to his recent leap in the pound for pound rankings. The same with Martinez who broke the top ten when he iced Williams.

Gamboa's time will come so keep your dick in your pants.

They often rate boxers in hindsight, for example when Darchinyan became P4P-r Donaire became too and Gamboa entered Yahoo top10 following Salido's win over Lopez from that list, and they move up whenever someone drops out without doing anything significant. How problematic this mentality is can be clearly seen as Wonjongkam is rated P4P#5 at The Ring. Are you kidding me? He has no real reason to be in the Top10, he could've lost to a nobody in his lest defense, yet he's one of the 5 best boxers on the planet, ahead of Hopkins, Vitali, Wlad, Timbo, Bute, John, Segura, Ward, Gamboa, Nishioka, Agbeko, Darchinyan or Gonzalez?

Regarding Donaire however, he does have a very solid resume. Beat Vic who wend on ruling SFlyW, beat Mthelane and Marquez, the best to FlyWs in the world today, beat former champs Sidorenko and Vargas bigtime and blew out P4P-er Montiel in 2. Who would you rate ahead of him outside of Sergio Martinez and Manny Pacquiao?

    Philippinos going crazy.

Its crazy to think people can have Donaire higher than guys like JMM Hopkins, Bradley, and Klitschko.

Those guys have been on top for a long long time and are still performing great. Not to mention fighting fighters the same quality or better than Donaire has.

Ok im a Gamboa fan too bro.. But:patsch Your way off the mark, Salido is his best win and hes never been on anyones pfp list.. He might have broke the top 20 recently though... Solis looked like ****, and although he was a respected fighter and champ,he also has not came close.

Vic was on lot of peoples Pfp list when he fought Nonito, and he was dominated... Nonito also blasted Montiel quickly, something no one has ever done.... And Montiel has an impressive resume and fought some very good fighters... Even in his 2 prior losss they were close decisions(one to an all time great Mark Johnson).. Both these guys are probable Hall of famers.. In fact i think Vic has climbed back up in the pfp rankings i think i had him up at 15 last time i checked. Herman Marquez also won a title and is looking impressive after getting kod in 4 by Nonito... He also blew out SIdorenko..A highly ranked bantam and also held a title for a while. He looks flawless IMO... Im also a big Martinez fan and i put Nonito ahead of him(its close though).

But i rank Gamboa high too so i hear you... I have him number #5 now that Floyd has exited. Alot higher than most... . PFP Nonito is more accomplished and polished than Gamboa, but then again im not one of those picking him to just jump right up and beat him,but PFp he has the clear edge... Besides Gamboa had a tough time with his best opponent..Where as Noniot dominated and blew his out, he has also a 3 division champ..And who cares about his early loss that was like in his 2nd fight that shouldnt even be an issue.

Oh yeah and another thing Gamboas amatuer resume has absolutely nothng too do with his pfp ranking... Zilch!!.

Donaire dominated and KTFO Vic Darchinyan and Fernando Montiel - both top 10 P4P guys at the time they fought. Gamboa hasn't fought anybody anywhere close to that level yet, and in fact has not looked nearly as impressive as Donaire despite facing far lesser opposition.
