    Yea true, and Martin didnt make any noise about it. In the post fight interview he just said well done better man won.

    From our point of view though, if not an excuse, it undoubtedly negatively affected his performance.

    but, as you say, he answered the 1st bell so thats all that matters

    yeh. if it was that bad he wouldnt have made weight or pulled out etc.

    I think what Simpson said after thie fight is true...a 3rd fight would be pointless as Simpson would lose.

    I think Simpson actually won both fights, he has a high workrate, takes a punch well and has a great engine.

    I think he can go onto better things, just dont fight Smith again.

    Yo big mouth it was the lightist weight lindsay has weigh in all u do is blow smoke up smiths arse he lost them two fights to simpson and
    he would lose against lindsay as well ............ just watch who stephen smith fights next some bum i bet ...............

    Another intriguing clash of styles. The Simpson fights answered some questions of Smith but posed a few more.

    He will be looking to beat Lindsay impressively to stamp his authority on the division.

    lol stamp his authority on the division wise up he never beat simpson
    in either of them fights ... the only way he beats lindsay if he has terry o connor as the 3 judges in one ....................

    John Simpson would need a machine gun and an axe to beat Swifty!!! Back on topic, decent fight this would be I think Lindsay had an off night against Simmo and is technically better than Swifty and would win.
