His fight with Taylor is what made me a fan of Froch. The guy simply has an iron will and always thinks he's in the fight no matter how far down on the cards he may be. Froch is an old school warrior.:good
I dont love him even though he is a Brit but he gets props from me for not ducking any fighters although I thought he got a gift decision after being outboxed by Dirrell.
Come on man!! This getting outboxed stuff is getting tired. The fight was awful, a terrible contrast of styles made for a poor fight. Its not like Dirrell put on a masterclass or anything?? He caught Froch a few times coming in and thats it. Froch tried to make a fight, landed fewer digs and the fight never got started. It was hardly a gift....neither guy really did enough to win it. Two very good fighters in a very poor fight. It had draw written all over it.
Froch, along with Vitali Klitschko, is a true definition of what a man should be, what a boxer should be, and best of all, what a FIGHTER should be. People like him make boxing exciting, not only because of his skill in the ring, but also because he talks a mean game and immediately backs it up (unlike another brit, Haye, that seems to only do the talking)
So was Bute invited to the Super Six or not? I had the impression he was but chose to decline, as did Kelly Pavlik. No intended slight on them, it's their career and choice, but afterwards Bute fans seem to be inferring he was excluded from taking part. So what really happened?
Bute was never invited. He chose to face Andrade before Froch. It was a question of honor for him. I like Froch for never surrounding and I admire his confidence.
Hes what you want boxers to be. A lot of heart and wants to test himself against the best. Also the commentary at the end of the Taylor fight is great.
Sorry but I saw it differently, Direll connected more and kept making Froch miss while making Froch look bad. Dirrell won the fight comfortably. As I said Froch is a true warrior and ducks no one and will always get my respect for that. There isn`t a chance in hell Calzaghe would have took some of these fights at the same stage in his career.
We all knew, and Froch knew it himself, that Calzaghe would not face Froch at this point of the Welsh career. He was going up to LHW and ws searching for big money fights. Froch was not even a champion when he was calling Froch, so... That doesn't change the fact his strike of opponents is very impressive.
