The simple fact that he said Viltai was making little girl noises everytime he hit him after getting the fat knocked off of him and then crying about it says enough about his character for me.

He has better stamina than most hw even when fat... But an a more slim Arreola woud throw even more he would have never let him on him, he wasnt really gassed but he did slow down, losing those last rounds lost it for him.. Also a slimmer Arreola would get off his punches quicker, and he would also be a little quicker at cutting the ring off.. Like the time he hurt Adamek he couldnt jump on him as quick as he would have if he were in shape... Arreola has quick hands for a big man but hes slow afoot, and im sure his extra weight has something to do with it... Well true his best wins were over gatekeepers or fellow prospects(witherspoon) .. But most people consider Adamek a top 4 hw... .and he definitely held his own and made it close... Also took shots from Vitali than most other Hws couldnt,and at the same time showed more heart than most others have..

Bottom line there is no denying his power.. Maybe his victims werent contenders, but they were capable fighters and a good measuring stick, ill bet you Adamek couldnt get rid of those guys that easy... Im also positive that Mcbride would last past 4 or 5 rounds... Grant probably wouldnt either.

 

IF the guy can keep focused and in shape, he is very good, I like his style and I like to watch him fight, I don't however like his choice of words. He's still a young man and I think he will grow into a much more mature man over time, he still has a lot to offer the HW division I feel if he stays in shape he could give anybody in that division a tough fight over the next few years. There's no reason to push the guy too fast, he's still young for a HW.

 

I really was a fan of the guy. He was something different and seemed to bring a grass roots following with him, along with being exciting. But the woman noises comment really made him look bad. In addition, and this will not be popular. But a large portion of his personality falls in line with Chicano gang culture.

 

I see nothing wrong about that.

Hope he comes to Europe to fight. This is where the nowadays HW´s all are.

 

Not really a gang thing.. Lot of Chicanos who are not in gangs,but grew up in a tough envioment carry themselves like this, in fact a good % of nongangmember Chicanos have that rough edge more or less.. Arreola definitely looks like he is familiar with gangmembers and probably grew up with some but he isnt trying to be one and his style of tatoos is proof ..Doesnt he have a couple tribals? Hes got an edge to him like Vargas,Rios and they arent gangmembers either just rough kids who grew up in the Barrio.... Just cause he doesnt talk like Delahoya,ORtiz and Baby bull dont make him a gangster
