Great news! Froch is by far Britains best boxer, Do Matchroom have a better stable the warren? very close matchroom have a world champion and the best fighter in britain and a couple of potential world champs in Brook and Barker also Gavin Rees could do alot at lightweight,I would say Warren has a bit more depth but i bet Warren is shitting himself with all these new signings going to Matchroom imo.

Matchroom seem to have very deep pockets.

In the current day and age signing on fees won't be stupid and when you have fighters already semi established and in ready to main event you will see a return on investment pretty quickly.

Best thing for British boxing is competition. If Matchroom starts putting on good shows to rival Warren then Maloney and Hatton have to rival them and up their game.

    Its true.

Still adamant the May 21st card is not good enough for PPV.

Amazing how quickly Matchroom have moved I am sure they will snap up Fury soon as well its only a matter of time. When they make their moves they go for it as well they get title shots they get fights they don't mess about. It can only be a good thing ultimately.

Froch is almost certainly on Sky now and Matchroom if anything will at least be able to get his name out there much more effectively than Hennessey. They did well with Harrison and Mcloskey on that front very media savvy.

I think they're making these moves ahead of the rumoured shakeup at Sky when the TV deals expire.

It's a ****ing nonsense when you think that Britain's best boxer (both in terms of ability and entertainment) has been on the outer for so long.

We've all had our little moans at Sky (me especially) and come up with lots of ideas as to how they can improve, hopefully we see some of that come to fruition.

I can see Maloney running into severe trouble, especially now he's lost Munroe and Booth is pretty much done..... unless he changes tack immediately and starts making proper fights.

Who else thinks Hennessy is done now? Won't be long till Fury jumps ship as well.

I really hope that when the current Sky deals expire they don't guarantee any promoter a set amount of dates - let them all compete for each slot!

Sky got it up on their website fairly quickly as their main story. Its a 5 fight deal, which pretty much means the rest of his career.

In his interview with Boxing Monthly Eddie Hearn said that Matchroom supply Sky with 17% of it's output (which is alot). Frank Warren is the big dog in the boxing world, but as an overall company Matchroom is far bigger.
