Anderson/GSP. We have two of the greatest pound for pound fighters of all time, both in their primes, fighting in the same organisation in adjacent weight divisions. We may never get this opportunity again. Granted, I would love to see Anderson/Jones, but Jones' career has only just begun, in time he might be the next great, but not yet. Anderson and GSP have both established themselves as all time greats, and we as fans should be honoured if we get to see them fight.
If Shields made pizza out of GSP's face, I'm wondering what kind of day a lethal striker like Silva would have against GSP. Obviously GSP's ground game would help him but Silva's ability to fight on the ground would be enough for GSP to be a little tentative. If fighters think they're safe when they get Silva on the ground they are in for a rude awakening. For now I'd go with Silva-GSP mainly because both guys are two of the biggest stars in MMA. It would take the sport to another level. If Silva wins we could end up getting both superfights assuming Silva will go on to face Jones.
They are surprisingly close fella GSP - 76.0 in (193 cm) Anderson - 77.6 in (197 cm) Not to say Anderson wont have an advantage in the stand up though :thumbsup
those few cm are more than enough for anderson to manhandle gsp standing and anderson has a better reach knowledge than gsp standing
I do find the online analysis of GSP-Silva this week quite laughable. I mean it was only seven months ago that everyone "knew" that St. Pierre's wrestling would allow him to manhandle Silva.
