If you consider Manny the GOAT, top 10, top 25, or whatever, get in here.

If you consider Manny the GOAT, top 10, top 25, or whatever and if Floyd were to beat him, where would that place Floyd? What if Margacheato had beaten him, where would you have ranked Margo? Would Manny still be the top in your opinion? Does a defeat lower Manny's standing in your eyes?

If Mosley were to beat him, where does that place Mosley? Is he automatically Top 10 or 25 like you have Manny ranked? Is Shane Mosley automatically the GOAT if he beats your GOAT Manny?

Let's keep this an intelligent debate. We have enough Floyd's on vacation crap cluttering other threads. This is about your ranking if Pacquiao's recent, present, or possibly future opponent were to beat him convincingly.

Not like highlander where after beating your enemy you get his powers, in this case his atg ranking.

So even if Mosley convincingly beats Pacquiao, Pacquiao retains his ranking in your eyes?

Look.. Manny is top 20 alltime.. from 11- 20 whereever.. he's not greater than SRR, Ali, Louis, Armstrong, Pep, Duran, RJJ, Jack Johnson, Dempsey, or SUGAR RAY LEONARD.. so he is already not a top ten to me because those are ten fighters better... and he definitely isn't greater than Louis, Ali or Robinson.. so how is he the GOAT???:huh..

IMO.. he's top 20.. rank him from 11-20 where you want... there were names I left out and my order of the top ten isn't necessarily chronological.. I just don't believe he's better than those greats.... if he loses to Mosley.. he might fall to top 30... but regardless.. he stays top 20 as long as he wins.. I mean, he is suppose to beat Mosley anyways.. if he beats Mayweather.. and KOs him.. then I'll put him top 5.. really.... if he KO's Mayweather, Williams, Martinez and Angulo then he becomes number 1 alltime without question.. I would be convinced he could probably beat anyone ever because going to 154 and cleaning out its toughest fighters to add to his accomplishments is insane...:bbb

did ali's ranking suffer when he lost to spinks or holmes? did durans vs hearns or jones vs tarver? what about ray robinson vs lamotta?
Great fighters lose as well, but it doesnt take away the value of their accomplishments, pac isnt the goat but he is top 25 and one of the best boxers of the last 20 years, which is pretty impressive, if mosley pulls it off then good for him, it would get him from hof ranking to atg but he wouldnt get pacs position.

The opponents who beat you don't take over your ATG ranking as it is a measure of ones overall career. If it did, Sugar Ray Robinson's 19 defeats would be from everyone ranked 2-25.

Mike Tyson is an ATG. Buster Douglas KO'd him in his prime. Where is Buster Douglas ranked?

Where are Rustico Torrecampo and Medgoen Singsurat ranked ATG? Both have KO'd Pac.

I guess I was being nice to Pac.. I don't know where from 11- 20 I would put him.. maybe the back part.. but I think he's there.. along with Hopkins and RJJ (as my only active fighters who would be that high)

Totally agree...its the whole Rock, Paper, Scissors scenario. Beating Pac would make Mayweather move up on everyones ATG list.

Though still might have Pac higher or some will have always had Floyd higher or some will have Floyd higher should he win.

Also its how he wins, if its a 12 round shut out and makes it look so easy, then Floyd will defo get mucho points for that. First things first, lets see if this fight happens.

    Top 20-25.

If floyd beats pac he'll rise from the 35 area to 30. But he still won't have Pac's resume.

Beating a great fighter definitely doesn't mean you're better than them in an all time great list..

Good question.... to me, if Pac beat these guys - Bradley, Judah, Khan, and Ortiz- that would definitely make him top ten.. maybe even arguably top 5. They are all champions and good ones..but let's be honest.. Pac should Ko all these guys man.. lol.. I don't think any of them are proven enough to hang with Pac or Mayweather. But they are all champions so there is no problem for Pac to clean out both divisions... Now if he beat Mayweather to go along with them.. then I still wouldn't say he is the greatest.. but top 5 could easily happen.. you would not only have him beating the champs of today.. but the only other fighter who could have claims to fighter of the decade and a sure fire top ten talent (not ATG/ just talent) ever in history.. so if Pac beats May and then the others you realize that nobody in WW and lower could beat Pac.. which is crazy and he deserves recognition for that.

But he challenging himself agaisnt those tough fighters at 154- Williams.. Martinez and such- and beating them to me marks GOAT.. that is only something i could see SRR doing or Ali.. that is huge company.. 147/140 is easier... still difficult but way easier..:good

But as for now.. like others said.. he is top 20- 25.. and he probably will retire that way... I don't see him making the attempt to clear out 140/147.

Even if Mayweather KO´s Manny with the first punch thrown, i still see that Manny has achieved so much more throughout his career.

What about Margarito and Shane? This thread was/is not about Floyd. I swear you this forum is so focused on Floyd it's crazy.
