I said it and it will be there for people to see and read. He will make many fans taking care of Arce. Like his father he can box but he can also punch. He is very smart in the ring and most importantly he has a quench to be great. Add to that the fact that his father in his corner knows the game as well as anyone and you have special talent in front of you.

This fight is nothing but record padding vs. a shot fighter that has no business fighting a young beast at BW, but Vazquez is not the one to blame. I like the kid, where he lacks in speed and athleticism he makes up with dedication and some nice ring IQ, I like how well he adapts after a couple of competitive rounds and puts up smart pressure, something that is considered a lower level of fighting today when in fact historically is a very successful style. But I don't see a fan making war here, at least not one to last long, VW2 inside 5.

Vazquez jr, has no chance whatsoever of beating Cuban amateur legend and 2 times Olympic Gold medalist Guillermo Rigondeaux. If he is smart enough, he will avoid this amateur legend. Rigondeaux will beat him silly.

    Let's get it on! :bbb

I like WVII and he seems pretty sound as a fighter considering his current experience. Not the best "talent" per se but he has no glaring flaws that i can see. Enjoyed watching him and Bedak, fun fight and i recommend it

Nice fight, wasn't it? For some reason Ricans don't love or give VWII too much respect, at least here.

I wouldnt call him a "gem" yet but he does better than any other active boxer with no amateur record.

Funny though, right? Out of all the "spoiled" boxer's sons/relatives out there I'd say WVJr is the most actually capable by far. Maybe it's because he has something resembling a defense?

You're completely incapable of discussing a boxer without bringing some Cuban boxer into it. Are you even a boxing fan? Do you have any interest in boxing that doesn't involve Cubans?

I used to be critical of Vazquez Jr and even backed Bedak to outbox him  But to his credit, he really shut me up in that fight and showed me he is a genuine world level boxer and I expect him to beat Arce. He'll be brought along gradually a la Juanma so I don't expect Rigo/Donaire/Nisioka fights for a while yet.

This has war written all over, when is Arce ever in a crap fight anyway?

WV2 to win in a thriller where his size and youth win him the bout. Arce, if he wins, deserves a HOF place just for being the first 4-weight Mexican champion

Vazquez is talented and he works harder than the majority of fighters in PR. His condition is always great. But he should be able to beat Arce who is older now, despite that Arce isn't training to make weight at 122.

Vazquez will become a star but it won't happen this Saturday.

Fans who buy the PPV will just see him mangle a once very good but washed up fighter.

Sad thing about Vazquez is that while he can beat a lot of good fighters around him, i don't really see him doing too well against a Rigondeaux or Donaire. Sucks, but i think he'll be overshadowed in time.
