PEDs or NO PEDs, Pacquiao is an easy fight for Floyd. Tho he has the full rights to take the fight or not for whatever reason.
I think he knows Manny would cause him trouble - statements like that are just PR. Floyd was never asking for those tests to 'clean up the sport' as he claimed. It's all selfish motives of course. My opinion, and I could be wrong is this: 1) Floyd and his camp genuinely suspect Pacquiao might be using PEDs. 2) It was a game/mind ****. BUT, the fact there was a bit of fuss over taking the test probably made them more confident they were right, whether they initially genuinely believed it or not. Rightly or wrongly, this fight will never happen without the tests being taken.
The 'Cleaning Up The Sport' spiel is complete and utter bull****, and anyone who thinks otherwise is an idiot. As already mentioned, he didn't do this for his own fight with JMM, and more importantly, he has done nothing for 'the sport' in campaigning for full Olympic style testing for all boxing bouts. Being selective as to when it is to be enforced is nothing more than being hypocritical, and a sign of cowardice. The only reason he did it with Mosley was not because of Mosley's past but rather he had painted himself into a corner with his mouth and couldn't back out of it. Asking for Pac to go through with HIS demands is simply a sign of being scared. Nothing else. Only *****s with their teeth caught on Floyd's pubes can't break away long enough to see the obvious.
I disagree. I think there's a high likelihood that he genuinely believes Pacquiao uses PEDs. It could just be bad judgement on Floyd's part, but it certainly can't be a fail-safe way of avoiding fighting someone he's "scared" of. What if Pac says yes? That's the true test that will determine if Floyd is ducking. But as discussed above, it's all private contracts - and both fighters have the right to demand, agree, and refuse pretty much whatever they like. It's frustrating for us fans.
That's right, who cares? P4P is a mythical ranking anyway, its all subjective just like college football used to be before the BCS.
Is this Floyd's only excuse to justify his reason for his inactivity. It's pretty lame People in his inner circle are the ones talking for him and saying he's doing this, he's doing that. If he doesn't want to fight, he needs to say so rather than his fans making second guesses for him and provide him with excuses. He need to stay retired and move on.:yep
lol, " it dosent matter he will still make 20m" how much dose he pay you to brag about his income? tell your buddy to quit being a puss and fight, and yes he cares because hes always arguing like a little kid on espn
If he's going to be inactive, then he should be dropped from the ratings. Having stated that, if he returns before the end of the year and produces an impressive performance against someone like Ortiz, as an example, expect to see him returned to the p4p rankings.
