Not So Bad Chad

Been saying this for more than 2 years already - Chad Dawson is way overrated!!!! Same with Berto!!!!

 

Both Dawson had some family problems going on in his life when he fought Pascal. I expect him to handle Pascal easily in the rematch. IMO he also beats Hopkins.

 

What else is new? What black fighter don't you consider overrated?:-(

You could see skills all over them.

I don't know how you analyze fighters but when I see one, I immediately know who are good to be champions - Bradley, Berto, Ortiz, Maidana, Dawson, Berto. But these guys are just that - good.

On the other hand, you have fighters who have out of this world skills. Mijares was wrongly attributed to have those, and so was Dawson and Berto at some point. But they don;'t really have the thing.
It is like watching SRL the first time. You immediately know that he is not just good, but beyond good.

Ortiz is good with lot of deficiencies. He has crappy defense, his chin is average or borderline average, but nearer to below average, no head movement, slow, plodding, come -forward fighter. He is just good, even to win a championship but nothing that shouts GREAT.

A fight with Gayweather would not enhance anything that we already know.

Gayweather would comfortably win, or he might even KO Ortiz. That is a foregone conclusion. They simply don't belong in the same ring. Ortiz is even below Margarito in the scale of being "good".
