Mayweather vs Ortiz is an excellent fight

    Mayweather will fight a boxer who has one or less bout at Welterweight (Hatton, JMM) or an older fighter (Shane, ODLH) as power is quick to go. With PBF's very low punch resistance Ortiz (1 fight as a Welter no KO's) is not too risky. You might see the same type of contract as in JMM where a few extra pounds could be added to insulate the low punch resistance. Notice what Floyd was worried about with Manny ?
    "He is on POWER pellets" Power is certainly something one with low punch resistance would be worried about. I am not saying he has low punch resistance in general only as a Welterweight.

    i cant see why anyone would slag this fight off ! hes the number 2 ww besides pac whos fighting saturday this is the second best fight out there

    Luke how can you call Ortiz relentless for 12 rounds. He's been 12 rounds once in his entire career and the other time he was supposed to go 12 rounds he quit in 6, hardly relentless.

    But doby, JMM is a counter-puncher and floyd is a counter-puncher... Atleast ortiz brings it, The fight will be entertaining! Floyd wont make ortiz quit! :nono

    Ortiz looked bad against a good defensive fighter in Paterson. I think that Floyd is a very bad match up for him at this point. He should push for a Khan fight

    I'd look forward to this fight, because we hardly get to see Floyd fight, and i'd be happy Ortiz getting a big fight.

    He's a great kid with a great attitude and will end his career with 5-6 losses, but he will fight anyone, DLH style!
