Arthur Abraham will soften him up for Carl Froch.

All you have to do with AA is throw your jab and move constantly. He has the worst counter punching ability I have ever seen in my life.

i don't think he will lay a glove on any good boxer who follows a stay busy plan. He 1000% commits to blocking punches with his gloves.

You throw he puts his gloves up without even thinking about countering. Strange fighter that can be neutralized with ease.

He also has horrible chemistry with his trainer.

I am not sold on Froch or Dirrel. of the two Froch is miles ahead in Ring IQ.

I think Ward is leagues above and won't be taking an L anytime soon.

I hope so. I used to like Arthur. That fight was very discouraging.

I think Froch & Dirrell would give him a good go, but ultimately lose.

    Bute could beat him imo..

    Okay, let's see.

    - Pascal would an interesting fight, he stays outside and drops in with very fast, very unpredictable bombs, the old fox beat him on our cards but needed every bit of experience and still hit the canvas. Ward is an inside fighter so either you beat him on the inside and the only capable fighter around 168 is Hopkins who's physically stronger but slower, or you keep it on the outside and either deliver Pascalesque suprise attacts that shocked very highly skilled Dawson and BHop at times or catch Andre coming in

    - Abraham COULD have the right style, short hands, very powerfully built, explosive power at short range, the kind of dude you don't wanna fight on the inside - unfortunately however AA is a range fighter who needs a wide left hook to move to opponent into his short right hand, he has very limited angles and distance he can be effective at. Nazim Richardson could've been a nice change when he moved up, but under Wegner he gets taken apart rather easily

    - Maravilla has very fast hand & footspeed plus a long and very sharp, very well timed, very accurate unconventional southpaw jab so it's possible he could time Ward moving in (who handles straight line jabbers well) or feint and set him up for the overhand left

    - James DeGale could have a 50/50 fight if he keeps improving, he's just as talented on the inside (and dirty), though defensively less skilled at the moment and packs less power, but handspeed and elusiveness is better

    - I guess Ismayl Sillakh could also stay on the outside and feed Ward with some nasty body shots slowing his moving inside motion down

I would not give most of these fighters 50% chance, but stylistically I see them bringing it to Ward and if all would happen I'd imagine 1 or 2 getting the W.

Perhaps what you say has merit, but don't forget that before the Froch fight the majority of boxing experts where saying that AA would win the S6 and would destroy everybody
