I don't think Shane needs anymore excuses. He's way pass his prime and losing his 2 most recent fights should be enough.
I remember Roach being on the Radio just after the Hatton fight and when it was suggested a Mosley fight he stated he wanted Mosley if they had fought to fight at 145, when asked why, Roach simply stated that he knew Mosley had a hard time making 147 and that even though he had a hard time making that weight that he was very strong at that weight, so if he were to fight Manny he would have to give up something.... I beleive he may have a hard time getting to that 147 limit no doubt, and thank god no catch weight has been enforced here. the man is old, if you cant beat an old man at your best weight then what the **** you call yourself a champion for?

It was something crazy like 142lbs, and Shane said **** lets do it. Pac was like yea, ok just doing my job lets fight. Roach is like **** that, even at 142. Now it's at 147, yea hes shot or is he not? I think he's def not prime, but he still beats all the hype jobs out there. These guys who are HoFers from last generation still put a beat down on these current guys. Mosley, FLoyd, Pac, Morales, JMM > Khan and company.
