I think you'll find the Martinez fight was a sell out.

And what has ticket sales got to do with getting bigger fights?

Calzaghe (Kessler fight aside) wasn't exactly a huge drew in the UK either, the Lacy fight was a big fight and even that wasn't a sell out.

I suppose you would know seeing as you live on here, but address the post.

according to you if Burns could shift Xamount of thousands of tickets he would be in bigger fights!!

    that is complete bollocks.

If Burns could sell 10,000 tickets there would be another £100,000 in the pot to pay for better opponents. Does that not make sense to you??

he wouldnt have sold 17,000 but he would have done more than 4,000 in a routine defence.

I am not slagging of Ricky I am stating facts. He is a modest ticket seller. if he sold morwe tickets he would be promoted more and get bigger fights.

    ****ing hell your hard work.

Burns already sells 5000 tickets. So your only adding another 5000.

5000 x £40 = £200,000. After the arena gets there cut, extra advertising etc etc lets say your getting 50% of that £40.

    £20 x 5000 = £100,000.

Now are you starting to understand? Bigger crowd better opponent?????

I know full well, it was just so easy to pull you in and start you mouthing off with these made up figures, I actually quite enjoy it when you start pulling these figures out of fresh air, it amuses me and some others as well :happy

What I'm saying is that you are stating that Ricky sells 4,000 for a routine defence then you are telling us Ricky sells 5,000 tickets and you are adding another 5,000 in order to make a point or to make me look stupid. What is it 4,000 or 5,000? Where are you getting these figures from?

As Undeafeted said, get him a big opponent and the tickets will fly out the door, nothing to do with get a bigger following and you will be able to bring over a better opponent.

Plus people will go if they can afford it, his last fight done poorly simply because of the bad weather and bad ticket prices, plus the fact that the arena is not easily accessible.

oh yeh you really suckerd me in. congrats on that. twat.

If Burns was a draw he would not be fighting on the undercard of Tony Bellew vs Ovil McEnzie.

Cleverly vs Braehmer is the main event May 21st. Who are people turning up to watch? Same applys to the LIVERPOOL card.

same applies to your logic you mean :deal:good

Cleverly-Brähmer - topping the bill, not an undercard fight

Burns-TBA - topping the bill, not an undercard fight

Do you get it now Rob? They aren't undercard fights as you just stated.

    "jesus you're hard work"

I think you're all missing the big bombshell that's just dropped here: Burns is a transvestite...and Hagman isn't around at the moment because he's hitching up north trying to persuade the guy to shat in his mouth.
