Marquez makes the more dramatic adjustments IMO.

If we're talking modern fighters, then Pacquiao, Hopkins, and Martinez are probably the best. Once they find a whole or a punch that works, they'll keep using it until the fight is theirs.

Of older fighters I know, Leonard, Ali, Duran, JCC were all pretty good at adapting the pace, distance, or punches thrown towards the best fit gameplan against a particular opponent.

I don't think Floyd deserves as much credit as he gets. it is more the opponents.
Naturally as a fight progresses a super conditioned fighter is going to have an easy time over a much older fighter like Mosley, ODLH, Baldomir and a Judah who is known for gassing out. The same goes for fights with Hatton and JMM they are already inexperienced at 147 it is more them having a huge mountain to climb fighting at a higher weight class which is hit or miss and 9/10 a miss.

Hopkins is a specialist as well. He is as good as there is in neutralizing a fighters best weapon round by round until it is virtually useless against him.

Manny makes superb adjustments each time finding the weakness of bigger stronger fighters being able to pick his shots and toy with them as the fight progresses.
Normally the bigger fighter would wear down the smaller man making it tough in the middle to late rounds.
Winning titles in 8 different divisions is probably a good indicator Manny is the best at making adjustments of any fighter in recorded history.

In his biggest test, he had the chance to just box on the outside but went straight in with the monster and traded only to his demise.

    Sorry.
