I can't believe the love RJJ gets as a commentator. It's the most irritating thing to hear him reference god every other sentence.

No, let's instead follow Hauser and place the many problems surrounding the sport at the foot of a single network. Let's also write long boring screeds about it every month and when pressed for solutions, come up with things like "Advertise fights occurring on rival networks," "Highlight Chris Arreola as a dynamic personality," and "Create another useless ranking."

Arum felt he wasn't allowed an even playing field with HBO basically being in bed with Golden Boy and giving them preferential treatment over other promoters, so when a better offer came around Arum took it and made his point. HBO should not be favoring one promoter heavily over another, when Top Rank right now can give them the biggest fights. If Greenburg is gone, he dug his own grave for not being able to balance and compromise things to keep everyone happy

Trust me I watch them all. Shobox, the next generation in journeyman. Remember Tarver vs. Murqui, That was an instant classic. Many Shobox main events have fights that would be mediocre FFN main events and showtime has these guys on contract. The first SMW tourney they put together has comedic value in hindsight.

Rejecting a garbage match up is just rejecting a garbage match up. Arum's cards have been 3/4's dog **** the last couple of years. HBO always pushes their preference for match ups and Arum can go **** himself if he doesn't want to do business with them. HBO has taken many positions I disagree with but Arum is a way bigger problem for boxing than HBO.

I'll never not subscribe to Showtime because I do watch their cards but many of their cards are a disgrace. I don't want to watch an up and coming unknown fighter they have on contract demolishing a tomato can. When HBO and showtime are head to head 2/3's of the time I dvr showtime and watch the HBO card live.

So true. Showtime has stolen the spotlight a hundred-fold.
