Mosley...brutal knockout...Wait..Jay's on the General? :blood Anyway, Mosley would be too much, eat the guy up. You don't want to apply that style as the smaller, weaker, less durable man. It's suicide.

I think Hatton is underrated a bit these days about here, but Mosley would absolutely slaughter him, brutal knockout within 6

So, not a prime Hatton then? Welter was not for Hatton, he can't really impose himself physically there, and he definitely wouldn't be able to do it against Mosley. Mosley within 6.

Well, it seems to me he went up during his prime. It just wasn't his best weight. Time-wise though, I'd say it was his prime. :conf

Why choose to step up against FMJ instead of a slightly easier fight (perhaps) first against SSM?

I suppose you could say that. Personally, I think around about the Tyszu fight was his prime, but it's of course open to debate whether he was still in it upon his rise in weight. Just, looking at the Collazo fight, he didn't seem.........meh, maybe your right, but in any case, 147 wasn't for him.

    Mosley all the way.
Floyd was actually a good style match for Hatton, because he's a counterpuncher and Hatton's smothering style is (theoretically) a way to deal with that. Doesn't matter if the counterpuncher plays in a league above you though.
But Mosley is a slugger and Hatton fits him like a glove. It would be like Margarito, only with Hatton being half as big. I can see this end inside one or two rounds. It's just gonna be right hand after right hand. Hatton with no defense and no head movement.

For those concerned with weight: from a competitive point of view, Mosley's prime was at Lightweight. They could easily meet at Light Welterweight and it wouldn't make a single difference.
