OK after Oscar, Hatton, JMM, Shane is the forth common opponent that Pac/May have faced. 3 of 4 Mayweather have faced first. Anyway getting to the point, taking into account ALL the factors (age, recent performances, preparation, magnitude of occassion) and lets try NOT to be biased here ESB. Who put on a better performance, or who dominated Mosely more..............
Its all about the styles. Mayweather doesn't look to knock you out. He breaks down his opponents and uses boxing 101 to defeat you. Manny goes for the knockout. Against Shane Floyd did the better job in my opinion bc Floyd walked Mosley down when the entire world thought he would be on his bike which was a stupid thing to think in the first place. If Mora had knocked Shane down would his performance be better than Floyd's and Manny's?
we don't need opinions here... according to mosley himself, pac was the harder opponent compared to mayweather.
Interesting points and which version of Mosely was the better opponent? Im a bit undecisive, I was thoroughly disappointed by Mosely and I NEVER thought I would say that about Sugar, when he got knocked down he was so gun shy it was crazy. It just really reminds me of how great JMM was, he got hammered in the first round and turned that sh1t around. I was expecting Mosely to do the same or at least make it competitive but damn!
Very simple Manny outperformed by putting Mosley on the canvas and turing Mosley a warrior into Clottey at Dallas Stadium Floyd - let Shane get him too much trouble for a boxer known as best defensive fighter Manny turned Shane into someone else. Floyd gave Shane more chances to be Shane Pacquiao is more deceptive and tricky than appears. He could easily bait Floyd into danger many different ways. Manny's power and determination too much for lil floyd
Floyd vs. Mosley official results: 119-109, 119-109, and 118-110 Pac vs. Mosley official results: 119-108, 120-108, and 120-107 Just for reference.
to be honest, some of your are into "who looked better against the common opponent" but its proves very little. fact is pac and may beat all FOUR men. after while, all that matter is who looks better when they fight eachother.
Don't start no sh1t in here, Im trying to have a serious debate you start popping off, gonna derail the thread into ******* vs ***** crap. Grow up for once, if not go start your own thread!
******* owned. Anyways. Floyd landed 208 punches out of 400+ Manny landed 182 out of 500+ punches Take with it what you will
Has there been an instance recently where two opponents have faced 4 common opponents and not faced each other? But my point is lets assume that they cant agree to fight each other I think alot of people will look at how they performed vs common opponents to determine who would have won had they fought? I definately think last night showed us more about Pacquiao, I was quite suprised he didnt tear through Mosely when he realised he was gun shy....I definately think he could have.
