You were referring to boo's post. Which dodged my points.

No, I'm not incorrect. I don't care if Kelly spent the entire Martinez camp in the pub, his reflexes, speed, power, stamina looked better against Martinez. It was just simple observation. So no, I'm not incorrect, it's obvious from watching last night that Pavlik is shot. He showed all the signs of ring age.

he may be. but (to charlie as well), i can't agree that he is shot until i see him fight again to see if he gets dialed in and works on the things he still needs to work on.

he was way out of position a lot of times which is why he wasnt throwing a lot. he was way out of position when lopez would flurry. he didnt pull the trigger when he was in position after landing that counter left he was landing all night. a lot of that can be attributed to not having fought in 13 months and not really being totally healthy for a couple years.

if he fights again and he is still way out of position and only throwing one punch at a time then it will be hard to deny that he isnt the same fighter he once was.

but he was much healthier last night as opposed to the martinez fight.

I always thought Pavlik would lose to the top 168lbers, but after last night i now know FOR SURE that he would lose to the top guys, and lose very badly as well.

He needs to spend some time fighting guys like Don George and Aaron Pryor jr before stepping up.

As i said in the past,Pavlik would have no size or strength advantage at 168,and last night proved it conclusively.Ring rust may diminish your speed, reflexe's,movement, and timing, but a fighter would still have his punch.Pavliks power at 168 would be no better than average, and he'd feel the weight of being hit by those extra pounds.
If Pavlik stepped in the ring with a Froch or a Kessler,he'd be murdered.

He didnt look very good against Lopez. I feel Lopez won the fight and Im From Warren Ohio, 15 mins away from Youngstown and a Giant supporter! Lopez was alot tougher than people gave him credit for!

HE had no killer instinct last night to finish the fight when he had 3-4 chances.. Lopez Out boxed Kelly, and hit him more , and landed nice combos but never hurt Kelly.. If he doesnt get his style straight he wont be able to beat the top tier guys.

He has to hire someone else in the corner if he wishes to contend with top guys at 168 ..Froch ,Ward,Dirrell and Bute would all be nightmares for him .He lose all those fight by wide margins ..Johnson due to age and Abraham due to his style would be the easiest fights on paper but who knows if he could take their power ..

Pavlik didnt look that bad at all vs Martinez. Hopkins schooled him, but he is a HOFer.

Pavlik vs Kessler would be a great match. Very similar styles and it wouldnt go for more than 6-7 action rounds. If Pavlik can keep working on the counter L hook, he might be a better fighter. Conditioning needs to improve. He should have TKO'd Lopez in the 10th.

I don't think that Pavlik looked that bad. He had an honest fight in my opinion and people were simply expecting a KO. I may be wrong, but my two eyes didn't see what everyone else saw during that fight.

Ward would be a bad match up, but him against Froch, Bute or Kessler could make a good fight.

He fought well against Sergio.. Bhop Schooled him Correct! lol He could have TKO'd LOPEZ earlyer if he would have let his RIGHT hand Go when he had him Hurt... Pavlik Either lost just because of how Busy Lopez was or it should have been a draw.., I mean Pavlik Looked Elusive in the fact Of Ducking his head avoiding some of the combos thrown.. Showed he can still take hits but he got lucky VEgas Loves him, and this is from a DIE-Hard fan!

I also dont think he is Ready for Kessler, if he gets back to 2007 form he would knock out Kess, bute, and froch.

kelly pavlik is heavy handed for sure but he wasnt a one punch ko artist even at mw. bronco mckart put it best when he said that everything kelly threw had something on it. lopez said he felt his power as well. the problem was that kelly was in terrible position all night. he wasnt in position to throw and wasnt in position when lopez would flurry (i think kelly got caught at one point ad******g his trunks). moreover, when he was in position to throw after landing that left hook he didnt pull the trigger.

these issues could be a product of ring rust. he hasnt fought in 13 months and hasnt been healthy in more than twice as long.

if kelly continues to look like this then its safe to say he isnt the same guy and his lifestyle may have taken a toll on him. but lets see if he can correct those timing and positioning issues. he still has stamina a chin and a punch.

Is this a joke ? Bute would play with him,and Froch and Kessler would brutalise him.

He loses to everyone that's been in super 6 besides Abraham and Green. He outpoints Abraham and KO's Green. He'd beat Stieglitz/Sartison. He'd be a top 10 guy at SMW and could pick up a belt considering Stieglitz has one.
