There are a very small minority who think McCloskey had a plan to win, Khan was not exhausted he was only beginning to pick up the pace we've seen a much higher work rate from him in the past whether he's with Ariza or not. How long would McCloskey frustrate him for??Mosley did a good job of frustrating Pacquiao but could McCloskey be able to do the same??

A sensible prediction would be that Khan would catch McCloskey much more often just the way Pacman did later in the fight its only but natural, you can't keep the same reflexes for 12 rounds but good conditioned fighters can keep the work rate up for 12 rounds.

Mosley's just past it at the end of the day. He deserves the benefit of the doubt overall. He's been a superb fighter and he is a level headed character. He just can't get off anymore, the trigger is not there. Thats what happens to great fighters, they don't suddenly turn to **** overnight and they can compete on sheer knowledge and skill but they can't pull that trigger.

He deserves a pass for these last couple fights, he's just got on a bit too far in his career but you have to applaud his overall body of work, his attitude in and out of the ring for the most part has been excellent and he's taken on everybody.

I think you're contradicting yourself there.

    McCloskey is nothing like Mosley!!!

I'm not chatting about the gulf in class but rather than touch gloves he knocks the guy that offers out. Ask Lauri!

That Lauri touch gloves knockout was hilarious.

Lauri had it hanging out there for ages McCloskey feints as if to touch gloves then swings a hook in BOOM fight is over

I have it on good authority the Khan fight was going exactly to plan. After the head clash udey was gonna offer the glove to Khan, when Amir reached out Boom KO & new WBA World Champion.

Legend has it that Ricky spilled the beans to Oscar in the boozer on the Thursday. He realised this was a great threat to Khan becoming a legend & got the hooky ref to enter the ring & call a halt.

Thats been cutting me up for weeks-just had to get it out!
    :thumbsup :thumbsup :D

    There is no contradiction -

Reflexes = head movement, punch avoidance, slipping etc or defense

Work Rate = combinations, angles, punching power.

Sorry maybe I didnt make it clear enough.

I thought the exact same thing.

In the aftermath of Khan-McCloskey, I got fed up of arguing with the 'Khan got exposed' notion. It was baffling how people just couldn't understand or spot the fact that an extremely negative fighter, can make anyone look ordinary. And now, apparently, Pacquiao got exposed too.
