If Pac gets inside, I agree that Mayweather should tie him up, but that should be the extent of his "inside fighting."

The worst possible fight would be Floyd pressing Pac.

That's the dumbest plan possible. And I'm 100% sure that if this fight ever takes place that Floyd won't fight him there.

 

I disagree with this to an extent. Floyd shouldn't press Manny and move forward, but he sure can beat him in the inside. Floyd won't be in too much danger in the pocket, but the reason it's so dangerous is because crossing no man's land against Pacquiao is hard.
So if Floyd wants to get on the inside he needs to throw a lead right and tie Manny up afterward and go to work from there or he needs to slip a punch and step in.

 

No that's not what I mean by mid range.
Outside to me is the range where you would jab and throw straight punches
Mid range is a little closer where all of your punches can land at full strength w/o stepping in
Inside is where you are hooking and uppercut zone and/or smothering your opponent's punches

This is one of the dumbest threads on ESB. If Mayweather had you as his tactician, he would get the **** beat outta him.

The best thing Mayweather can do against Pac is box on the outside, pot shot, counterpunch with no more than two punches, and tie him up if he gets inside.

If Mayweather elects to stay inside, Pac beats the **** outta him. I mean, he beats the **** outta Mayweather, as in Mayweather would never dream he would get such a beating in his life.

However, Mayweather should probably be considered the favorite if he utilizes the gameplan I described, which he inevitably will, and make it a boring ass fight.
