It's a shame this guy isn't bigger and campaigning at Middleweight. Here is a guy who has been through multiple wars, has lost to some of the best in his sport and beat some of the best in his sport, unlike other guys who never come back from their losses well, he remains threatening to anyone he faces and has taken many 0s from people.

This guy should be a star of boxing, the fights I've seen him in have all been barn burners and he never has a dud fight.

yeah I agree terrific performance yesterday, I loved how when vazquez tagged him early he pointed to his chin saying sommething like come on, then getting up from the kd's finishing it with a great flury, even without the stoppage he probably would have won a very close decision.

I hate to say this but prior to this fight the only Arce fight I had seen in full length were against Carbajal, Mijares and Darchinyan. All fights that he lost. I've never doubted the fact that the guy was a warrior however and he lived up to that last night. Looked gassed going into the last 4 rounds, Vasquez looked a lot fresher out the corner but Arce never stopped fighting. Brilliant, absolutely brilliant.

He has fought everyone and is one of those guys that never seems to get discouraged by a loss. He just comes right back and proves himself. People were saying he was done 4 years ago when he lost to Mijares, then the same when he lost to Vic. Im happy hes finally getting some recognition, hes been around forever- hell he fought Michael Carbajal.

    Great performance by both.

Vasquez looked strong until he was against the ropes on the 11th

yup he stole the show and people appreciate his courage. this is what's boxing is all about. i'm glad that he called darchinyan out and not donaire coz honestly, i'm afraid of the punishment he would get against boxers who can time and can punch. has been a fan since he firsts aw him on pac's undercards before. will fight anyone and is willing to put a show.

The things to love about Mexican Boxing 1 for the most part they have slow hands and slow feet but still find a way to win. 2. They always find a way to give a little more.3. If they are defeated they know they gave there all. 4 They get back on the horse and fight like there life depends on it. 5. Losses make them stronger

Been a fan of this guy since I saw a tape of his ballsy beyond words showing against a hall of famer against Carbajal when Arce had all of twenty-ish fights before he beat Cob Castro the second time. Pure balls, swagger, and power this guy.

The first fight with Hussein Huseein is still one of the craziest I've ever seen.

I dont know about that. He took a lot of punishment against Vic when they fought already. Arce was still in the fight, but he took a lot of punches and took a beating down the stretch.

Arce's awesome, I was so excited to see him fight and he really put on a great performance last night. Apparently he's huge in Mexico though, the announcers were saying he's one of the most popular boxers there.

He's been my fav Mexican fighter for a while now. I'm glad he's still winning. He's all fighter and seems to be a cool celebrity too; the kind of guy I'd like to see in the HOF one day.

I was telling my buddy I was watching the fight with last night about how win or lose, Arce ALWAYS brings it. He looked very reminiscent of Arturo Gatti last night in coming from behind and stopping Vasquez late. And props to Vasquez too... he fought an excellent fight. I just feel he ran outta steam in the last few rounds. FOTY in my opinion.
