Yes the fight was dull, but one thing nobody can take away from Manny is that he does everything he can to make a fight exciting. Even with a reluctant Mosley, you could tell he was trying to put Mosley down and wasnt content to just cruise to a UD.

It is his promoter that is to blame for the fight going the way it did. The oddsmakers were dead on and the fight went exactly as expected. Arum and his people are masters at manipulating our imaginations. Shane, like Clottey, did what they always do. Thats what Arum wanted and expected of them. The fight was designed to take our money and get Manny a win, not to be exciting. Arums PPVs are always crap.

I think the only good thing about this, is that now he will have to put Manny in with a different kind of opponent. I think marquez will be next, and I think Marquez will lose, but at least Marquez is another guy that always delivers for the fans. I would spend the $60 dollars to see this fight, because they are both PPV worthy fighters.

If Manny's first concern was to make the fans happy, he wouldn't have let the Mayweather fight fall a part of blood testing, and he wouldn't have fought a 39 year old fighter who hadn't won a fight in over two years and who looked terrible in his previous two outings.

And I'm sick of people putting all the blame on Arum. At what point does Pacquiao bear any responisbility in concern to his own career?

Like above poster said, if he truly wants to make the fans happy, then get a live dog as an opponent next time. Someone who just had a very good last fight. Like Ortiz. Whatever the beef bet GBP and TP, he has enough leverage to choose whoever to fight with.

He even stood infront of Mosley a few times waving him with his gaurd up trying to entice him to throw punches, but Mosley was set on not fighting.

and this is another facet in pac's mindset that floyd could exploit. we all know floyd **** cares if his fight is entertaining or not and would fight to win. with pacquiao, he had this two things in mind, to win and to entertain at the same time. so if they fight, floyd only has to frustrate pac by not engaging and when people started heckling and booing them, pac would be eager to bring it on while floyd picking him off.

but of course this could also work to pac's advantage also.

to be honest this is what happens to most of Floyd's opponents they lose focus and their cool while he maintains and goes about business as usual and picks them apart

part of his brilliance in the ring
