Out of all the competition that night showtime vs hbo was the most intriguing part.
By and far hbo is a lot better. Fight camp 360 sucked, it did not make me feel part of the fight or hype me up or make me want to box myself like 24/7 dose. Instead it felt like i was watch the battle at Waterloo or JFK some piece of distant history.
24//7 on the other hand feels like a ride, a bonafide hype machine and it introduced me to some sound tracks that i use in my work outs today (follow by ghost and explosions in the sky).
But to be fair they did have to hype up a fight with pacman and diabetic shane oldsly and for as macho as boxing is comparatively those dudes where gay porn. (young Filipino beating on old black staring in chicken and shrimp).
Then come fight night the broadcast felt weak and second rate the commentator felt like substitute teachers and the fight was like two up and coming guys who have not perfected their craft yet.
With all the glove touching i though they where fighting for gay rights more so than poverty.
Bottom line show time is best at being a middle man between espn and hbo.

    in
    then post fight interview with
manny. The guy was so off and showed no passion for
    or
    understanding of boxing.
    Half
the reason my friend and i watched the fight was
to hear manny say hes willin to take any test to
fight may, instead the bum suggests zab ****ing judah as hes next opponent and dident even touch on
    a
possible fight with mayweather or the latest news that he is
due bak in the ring later this year

For the record, Buffer does show up from time to time on Showtime, but who really cares anyway? Boxing should be everywhere damn it! I'd listen to Katie Couric do boxing commentary if that would bring a fight night to CBS.

Yeah, this sums it up. The truth. HBO has the better production values. We get sick of their awful post-fight interviews and Lampley's cheer-leading and calling blow by blow commentator for the fighter he prefers. But... last night the post fight interview was atrocious, and Gus Johnson gets way over excited for no real reason "His legs are going, he's badly hurt!" No he's not Gus, STFU. Tarver and Jones are comparable for me. Bernstein is great, I like him the most out of any of the analyst on both networks. However, he actually annoyed me Saturday. I think Showtime is far better of with Steve Albert than Gus Johnson, and sometimes you just don't need a 3 man team. Albert and Bernstein made the Israel Vasquez vs Rafael Marquez Trilogy epic with their call of the fight.

Absolutely to the TS point, and it's not even close. I actually like Tarver, and I don't mind the other guys either, it's just not the same. HBO is the "Big Fight" network, period.

    HBO definitely better ... 24/7 > 360 ...

Pretty disappointed at no Buffer ... Woulda even preferred Bruce Buffer with his 180 turns

    Depends, IMO.

But let's start at the top, Jimmy Lennon Jr. >Michael Buffer.
(I'll never understand the popular Buffer> JL. Jr. thing)

I'd say the BAD crew might even trump the HBO Championship boxing team.
I personally like the Showtime mix of Bernstein/Tarver & Johnson.
(Can't mess w/Albert, Pachecho & Czyz, But who can... Classic calls)

Home Buttocks Office was good, but when they went against The Klitschkos, it made me very angry!

Who cares if it's HBO or Showtime?

As long as it's a good action fight . . . fine with me.
